An incredible but true account of achieving one of the most awe-inspiring midlife physical transformations ever

In October 2006, the night before he was to turn forty, Rich experienced a chilling glimpse of his future. Nearly fifty pounds overweight and unable to climb the stairs without stopping, he saw where his sedentary lifestyle was taking him. Most of us look the other way when granted such a moment of clarity, but not Rich.

I had expected a book that was more into the workout regimen of a middle aged man and how he came to run the Ultraman. Although that is part of the book, it is much, much more than that. It does a great job of describing the struggles he overcame without making excuses. He does cover his diet and exercise, but the personal struggles is the more interesting part of the book in my opinion. Having him tell the story made it that much more impacting.

In his landmark best seller The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell redefined how we understand the world around us. Now, in Blink, he revolutionizes the way we understand the world within. Blink is a book about how we think without thinking, about choices that seem to be made in an instant, in the blink of an eye, that actually aren't as simple as they seem. Why are some people brilliant decision makers, while others are consistently inept?

This is another winner. Great book with a lot of great examples throughout the book.
