Thoroughly enjoyable listening with many laughs. Found myself using some of Bertie's expressions - unintentionally - but what an entertaining writer Wodehouse was.
Easily followed with good story & atmosphere
The unexpected ending
No one stood out. Was too anxious to hear what happened next
The audio version of a page-turner
Couldn't wait to buy another of his books which fortunately was on sale
Started off well but deteriorated
Given it a different ending. The first time I've been disappointed in an Archer book
First part of being on board ship
Not read the book again
Seemed that Archer couldn't think of any other way of ending than to kill off the most attractive main characters so the title was given to cover this
Learning story of Beatrice Cenci
Feeling I was in Rome
Didn't have one specifically
Will be buying more of David Hewson's books
Adult appreciation of one of the world's best books for children
Every scene in this book is much loved. No one outclasses another
Should be read by every Playstation player to make them human again.
Too dated and juvenile
Will recommend it to friend who did not know AA Milne wrote adult fiction. Personally feel his metier was children's books the writing of which he excelled
Someone with no interest in writing
For me, Ken Follett can do no wrong. He is a great writer and his prose should not be edited.
Have him read the complete book which apparently is not available unabridged.
Will try to remember to check and never buy an abridged book again
Put off listening to this book for 5 months expecting it to be over the top after all the reviews, films and recommendations. How foolish of me. Like many others, found it hard to get into but once on the hook I was unable to escape.
Wodehouse never disappoints, giving me many belly-laughs which must make the neighbours question my sanity if they hear.
Many issues and events included in one book yet with effortless readability. Great reading from a most talented writer to whom I am most grateful for such wonderful entertainment.
A beautifully written description of how life was lived by some people in the not far-distant past. The question of "will she or won't she" kept me listening continuously despite the distractions around me. I really missed the personalities of the main characters when I had finished the book.
