It was just sweet. Sometimes, I just need to hear a happy love story.
When his moth forced her hand in a devious way.
This book was fairly predictable, but I still enjoyed it. It definitely did not leave much to the imagination, but it was still a fun listen.
If I wanted a feel good love story, I might pick it up again.
It was sweet and funny. Just an easy listen.
I thought she did a good job of distinguishing voice. Easy to listen to.
Sweet Love Story
interesting, historical, unique
Love Stories in Two Times
I thought this might be difficult to follow on audiobook because of the way it went back and forth between the past and the present. Thankfully, Rosalyn Landor did a fantastic job with the different voices. She made it easy to follow this book when it could have been difficult.
unexpected, historical, interesting
When the illusion was revealed.
Paul Michael does a great job. He sounds like what I think Robert Langdon should sound like.
Probably not. I am a fan of Molly Harper because I love her humor, but this one was just so-so. While I often listen to my books again, I probably will just shelve this one.
Most - Finding her way
Least - The love affair
Amanda Ronconi is fantastic, and she pairs with Molly Harper's with really well. She has just the right inflections. She really sells the tone of the novel through her performance.
Sometimes it made me chuckle, but not as much as some of Molly's other books.
The tenacity of the hero. He just would not give up, and you have to love that about a man.
Braden. I just loved the way that Braden works Joss in this story. He doesn't let her angst win.
Paula did a decent job. The way she switched accents was amazing! Sometimes, I struggled with her male voices, but overall pretty good.
Persevere for love.
My only complaint about this book was Joss' continual angst. At some point in time, you just have to say enough is enough. I get that she had a rough past, but it seemed to drag on a bit.
Yes. I actually already went back and listened to the last two hours for a second time. Unlike some romances, this one is something that could and probably does happen. It was nice to read about real people with real struggles working to make this work.
It would be a spoiler, so I don't want to write it; however, it is in the prologue.
I liked Elle's narration so much that I added her other Audible book to my wish list. The book gets good reviews, so it is probably a win-win.
Love in the face of life.
While I enjoyed the first book in this series, I liked this one better. Both are worth the listen, but Jo had far less angst than Joss which was a nice change.
It was a very good story with well-developed and interesting characters.
Have never listened to her before.
Above the rest.
Yes. It is short, so I was able to listen to off and on over a 24 hour period; however, I would have loved to sit down and listen to it all at once.
This is an amazing and compelling story that needs to be heard.
Overall, I really enjoyed this story. Victoria is a very good storyteller. At times, I did find myself rolling my eyes at Jane's inability to move on, but that is probably just a personality thing. I am very much someone who let's things go, so I can get annoyed with people (even fictitious ones) who can't. I will definitely be purchasing her other two books to listen.
