As Amethysta said, Megan Follows is an amazing performer/reader in this delightful third book in the irrepressible and irresistible Anne series. Though this edition happens to be abridged, it is truly incredible; it's no wonder Megan won the Award for best actress for Anne of Green Gables! Anne is now growing up and facing decisions and obstacles in her life that she hadn't expected to find, but with the poise and grace that only Anne carries she succeeds and her honest innocence remains true to the end.
The story itself is a compelling sweet story with a bit of suspense to spice it up a bit. However, if you've read the previous book in the O'Mally series, "The Negociator," you'll notice that the narator portrays Kate as someone who lives in Chicago with no southern accent, but in this book she sounds as though she just stepped out of "Gone With the Wind." Overall, though, a good read and worth the purchase, if you can get past that initial annoyance.
