Beautifully written and very well narrated. You become a part of the story laughing with their joys and crying with their heartaches. You won't be disappointed.
A great listen. This was a very intriguing book I listened to while running. I'm very happy to say it inspired me and brought many a smile to my face during my runs. At times, McDougall stops in the middle of a story, to tell another story which helps provide further background and detail to the original story. Sometimes I forgot there was an original, unfinished story to begin with until he returned to it. Of course, part of this could have been from the fact that I was running and getting tired. Either way, I got so much enjoyment out of it the first time, I will listen to this book again and suggest you do, too.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. The story itself was novel (for me, anyway), and well written. I love a book that really gets me invested in the characters and between Sanderson and Andrews, this story was really brought to life. Andrews' narration was exemplary. As this is the start of a series, I really hope he reads for the next book, as well. I usually listen to books while running and I found myself listening to this one also while driving, cooking, cleaning...I couldn't walk away from it. Very enjoyable read and I would highly recommended it.
