"Being a vampire is a life-or-death situation. When I was first turned, I had only my survival to worry about. Now I'm locked in a battle for the existence of the entire human race - and the cards are definitely stacked against me."

I download alot of books that are okay...but, this is a really worthy series (read them all)! This is the third in the series, and way better written than your standard present day vampire tale; the characters are strong (okay, there's a romantic angle thrown in) -- but, the lure is intact (you can tell the writer knows her way around the subject matter), and the plotting will keep you going from start to finish.

As granddaughters of a late, famous literary critic, the beautiful redheaded Heller sisters capture the attention of the New Yorker magazine, which promptly features them in a glamorous spread shot by a world-famous photographer. The fashion world sits up and takes notice, and in no time flat, three nobodies from Brooklyn have been proclaimed the new "It" girls.

You really want to hate these self-loving Kids that reads like a younger-and-void-of-all humanity version of Paris Hilton; but, then there's the authors humor that hooks you back into the world and makes it fun.

So, the stupid character, and bad story that's not worth being told kinda works...if you like the world full of celebs that are famous for doing very little and thinking their better than the rest of us.
