On June 22, 1954, teenage friends Juliet Hulme - better known as best-selling mystery writer Anne Perry - and Pauline Parker went for a walk in a New Zealand park with Pauline’s mother, Honora. Half an hour later, the girls returned alone, claiming that Pauline’s mother had had an accident. But when Honora Parker was found in a pool of blood with the brick used to bludgeon her to death close at hand, Juliet and Pauline were quickly arrested, and later confessed to the killing.

What did you like best about Anne Perry? What did you like least?

I love the books written by Anne Perry. I am dismayed the story of her youth was so bloody.

What was most disappointing about Peter Graham’s story?

I think the story might be okay but I could not tolerate the reader.

What didn’t you like about Eric Brooks’s performance?

Eric Brooks reads like a four year old child reading to a three year old child. I cannot imagine a worse reader. PLEASE don't let him ever read another audio book!

Could you see Anne Perry being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I don't know if this should be made into a movie, I will have to buy the book to know how it ends.

How can any author allow someone to read his work so badly?

Surrounded by her children, her extended family, and what seems like half of Colleton County, a semi-conscious Rachel breaks weeks of pained silence with snippets of stories as randomly pieced together as a well-worn patchwork quilt. But the Knott family's joy quickly gives way to shock: less than an hour later, Aunt Rachel is found dead in her bed, smothered with a pillow. Who would kill a woman on her deathbed? Was it an act of mercy, or murder?

What would have made Designated Daughters better?

Authors should be FOBIDDEN from reading their work. Use only tried & true narrators.

If you’ve listened to books by Margaret Maron before, how does this one compare?

The author's reading distracts from the quality of the book.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Margaret Maron?

    C.J. Critt

    Any additional comments?

Please don't let the author read their books.

Tom Clancy returns to Jack Ryan's early days, in an extraordinary new novel of global political drama. Ryan's first days on the job at the CIA put him into a high-stakes game, playing for the life of the Pope and the stability of the Western world.

What would have made Red Rabbit better?

A better reader and less regression by Tom Clancy Scott Brick can make a crying baby go to sleep. I don't think I will ever get another book that he reads.

If you’ve listened to books by Tom Clancy before, how does this one compare?

It doesn't even come close to "Hunt for Red October" Read by Frank Muller! Edge of seat experience.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Read too slow and didn't have the right emphasis in most of the text. No excitement in his voice. He was not part of the story, he was just reading it.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    disappointment
