People who love books with billionaire alpha males and innocent females who tempt them may enjoy this book. My main issue was that I didn't connect with the characters and the story felt too similar to other books in the genre.
I did not like the accent used for Ian.
I love the story line- with the detailed, complex supernatural world, a quirky, fun heroine, and plenty of steamy scenes.
When Jane dives into the magicked pool and the power goes to her head. She gets a little high off the power, and it's pretty funny and quite entertaining to read.
She did a good job differentiating between the characters, but I did not like all of their voices.
I really liked the story and Tempest Rising set the foundations for a promising new series for me to follow. There are a variety of characters and plenty of plot threads to follow up on. I just wasn't the biggest fan of the narration. I may pick up the print copy of book two to continue this series.
Pretty good, not my favorite narrator, but the timing and delivery were very good.
Maggie was my favorite character, as performed by Tanya Eby. Tanya's voice sounded very close to how I thought Maggie would sound.
I loved this book, it pulled my heart-strings. I wasn't in tears, but it is an emotional read, in a good way.
Excellent read/listen. I highly recommend this book to romance readers, especially readers looking for a holiday romance.
I loved the world-building, and the audio was very good too. I would rate this in my top 5 favorite audiobooks
It's Urban Fantasy, so I would compare it to The Anna Strong Chronicles, The Becoming. Also, the Kate Daniels series- Magic Burns. The Hollows series by Kim Harrison, Dead Witch Walking.
I really liked Aren
