Even in Grundy, Alaska, its unusual to find a naked guy with a bear trap clamped to his ankle on your porch. But when said guy turns into a wolf, recent southern transplant Mo Wenstein has no difficulty identifying the problem.

I'm a regular, i tend to see and read about many books here at audible.com... i kept on seeing this book, and i knew it was a best seller at audible, but for some weird reason i didn't even stop to read its summary.... i just red it the day before i wrote the review, and i loved it.. it was funny, it was engaging and i couldn't stop listening to it...

This is the first time i listen to a Molly Harper book, and i can see/hear/read her talent and why she is a good author.

What i like about this book that werewolves are big deal, but the main character doesn't really give a damn about that.. you get plenty of jokes and its ending was very good.

Basically its damn good, damn funny, and you get to like these characters.

Already bought the 2nd book, reading it right now.. and will pre order the 3rd one soon.

  • Becoming Steve Jobs: The Evolution of a Reckless Upstart into a Visionary Leader

There have been many books - on a large and small scale - about Steve Jobs, one of the most famous CEOs in history. But this book is different from all the others. Becoming Steve Jobs takes on and breaks down the existing myth and stereotypes about Steve Jobs. The conventional, one-dimensional view of Jobs is that he was half genius, half jerk from youth, an irascible and selfish leader who slighted friends and family alike.

    Warning: I'm an Apple fan!

Yes, I'm an apple fan, and I used to think that Steve was the perfect guy and the smartest. But that was in the past. He like al of us, had his pros and negs , but what a character. He did live his life, and he understood what people wanted in his last 10 years at Apple, even before we knew we wanted it in the first place.

One of my comments is that he was just a guy, nothing special about him.. He didn't go to big Universities, and he didn't do or had anything special that made him what he became. He was just a guy with a vision and later in his life with forward thinking regarding Apple.

This book showed more of Steve's good and bad side, but I think it gave a better picture of Steve and how he thought rather than the official bio. No matter how many books we will read about him, I don't think that we will truly understand him, but these books will give better picture to a guy who had a huge impact in this world.

Narration was good, and the book was a great read. If you red the official bio, you must read this book too. As it will give more insight into Steve Jobs way of thinking, and all the good and bad he did in NeXT, Pixar, and Apple.

Zombies, demons, vampires, shapeshifters - another day in the life of Nick Gautier - and those are just his friends. But now that he's accepted the demon that lives inside him, he must learn to control it and temper the very emotions that threaten the lives of everyone he cares for. Something that's hard to do while trying to stay off the menus of those who want his head on a platter. And no one wants him more than the dark gods who created his race.

Nick is a poor fellow, feel bad for how things go for him all the time. This book felt more like a preparation for the net book, as important character development must happen. I do wonder how this series will go and how it will be, if it will be, connected to the other (future) world or what exactly.. Time travelling and changing the past is too complicated.

Good addition, funny as always, but I think the next one will be more important.

On opening day of the new baseball season, a small model-kit airplane flies down from the stands and buzzes the mound, where a decorated veteran pilot is about to throw out the first ball. The toy plane is the exact replica of the one flown by the war hero. Everyone laughs, thinking it's a prank or a publicity stunt. Until it explodes, killing dozens.

This addition was one of the best additions to the Joe Ledger series!! Loved it all the way through, start to finish. Its not only Joe under the attacks, but its everyone, and it was a good change. Some characters changed to the best, others to the worst , and some we won't know what will happen until the next addition

This book was so full with action, it was AWESOME!!! You will love it. I don't do this often, but i will be reading it again very soon.

Narration was amazing as usual, Ray Porter does an excellent job with the narration, and he brings all the characters, and specially Joe, to life. Awesome!!!!

    Great addition!

When I started this trilogy, I wasn't sure if it was good or not... but then I re-red the first book and red the short story ones too.... It is good... back story for all the characters throughout the trilogy and fantastic character development. It is a really good series..

Action sense are the best in this book and too graphical, which is good... too many loses and so many wins as well... there will be moments where your jaw will drop from the shock....

You get to know so many secrets, and the fate of certain characters.. I do hope that there will be more of powder mage books, I can see future trilogies in futuristic world (like ours now), that would be great.

Narration was excellent, Christian Rodska did a fantastic job in giving character and life to all the characters , it was really good...

I am a bit upset that this trilogy is over, but happy that it was a good ending... you will like this final addition to the powder mage trilogy.

How can explain my feelings towards this book... First of all, let me say that this is my second read through this book, which i red few years ago.. going through it again made me wonder about few pointers.. Its a bit fast, not the story plot, but the development of the main character Eragon... having him from a kid who uses a bow and arrow and the ultimate and one of the best sword fighters in a year is a bit too much.. I think it would have been better if it was in the span of several years, not less than one year... It really could have been a two books thing rather than all packed in one... I don't want to talk too much about the things that I didn't like here as it might spoil the story, so will back off.

The story plot itself is fantastic, and as I already know what will happen, I do think that its a good series.

Narration wasn't bad, but maybe it could have been better in few ways.. but it was good.

You get to know all kind of characters in this series, and some of them tend to stand out and can't help yourself fro not liking them... You will understand what I mean when you see them.

I f you like the kind of book were beings from all sorts of places and magical creatures exists, then you will like this series, specially what will happen later on in the next 3 books and the story matures and the characters develop well.

What a fantastic addition to the series.. The story was full with secrets coming out and new secrets hidden away.. New allies and new enemies. It was just too many things too many emotions packed in one book, and it was amazing.

As usual action sense were well written and twists and turns were everywhere. Tavi is so grown, he is not that little kid anymore, and unexpected characters become his supporters and trustees.

Can't stop on talking about how good Kate Reading is in narrating, and she does a great job with book, specially with the number of years between each book, people grow and voices change, and she did a great job in accommodating that.

Will start reading the next book soon... Can't wait.

Quick and good read. This short story was based before the 2nd book... The main character here is Vlora, the once loved person, started this trilogy with a mistake and she ended up being hated by everyone. Vlora is tasked to find a traitor who killed an officer and who has important information that could be used against them in the upcoming war. She finds herself in bad situation where most of the army dislikes her and with only 3 days to complete her job.

I have enjoyed this book because it showed more details in regards to two characters in the trilogy and it showed the thoughts that are going inside Vlora's head.

Awaiting the 3 trilogy which should come any minute now. ....

If you are a fan of this first book, you must read this short story

This series is getting better and better..... Tavi keeps on growing up and learning and gaining more responsibilities.. He becomes an important tool to the first lord and gets to be in interesting places. I do enjoy how the characters develop in this series and the gap of few years between books to allow the character to develop and grow in a reasonable pace.

I thought the previous book was an eventful one, but its nothing comparing to this book's events. Oh how so many things... So many secrets and so many OH moments... And the ending was a really really good one. Will start listening to the next book really soon,.. So excited

By the way, I do like the narrator, Kate Reading is a really gifted narrator and the voices of the characters change with the years.. Tavi's voice is not the same way it was in the first book, it does sound right for the age he is in.. Fantastic job.

So if you are familiar with the series you know who Adamat is, if you didn't, then it would be better for you to start reading the series at first then come to this short story.

It tells the story of Adamat's career as a detective and the challenges in a particular case... Its quiet enjoyable and not too long.

Narration was ok, but it would have been better if it was the same narrator as in the trilogy.
