Funny, captivating, different
Monster Hunter - they both deal with the paranormal and secret organizations that keep humans safe. Both are funny and move at a good pace. The Rook is a tighter story, but both are good buys.
Laugh, a lot.
I am planning on listening to it again. I just want to give it a small rest. The story is powerful, the characters are interesting, and I loved listening to it. It made me wish I had as good a friend.
Jimmy, because he is the kind of man I want to be.
The scene talking about meeting in the bar to remember the men who didn't make it every year for 30 years.
The countess because of her transformation from intimidating matron, through friend to young refuge girl in China.
If you have a credit to spend, you can't go wrong with this book.
Haven't read the print version.

Yes. Very good, makes it easy to keep track of the characters.
The third book of the trilogy changes from lots of action to actually tying together the story. Doesn't leave to many questions but, it is sad to have to say good bye to the characters. It was a pleasure to listen to the trilogy.
The second book in a trilogy. I have listened to both books several times and find new nuances each time. Lots of twists and turns to keep you on your seat. I can't wait for the third book to be released.
