Clary Fray is seeing things: vampires in Brooklyn and werewolves in Manhattan. Irresistably drawn towards a group of sexy demon hunters, Clary encounters the dark side of New York City - and the dangers of forbidden love.

The more I listened to this the more I had flashbacks to story elements from Harry Potter and Twilight.
I feel like the author has taken the plot elements from both those series and melded them together to make this series.

I think I would have been happier if the Twilight element had been left out.
I was over the teen angst angle about half way through.

Having said that ... if you liked Harry Potter and Twilight, this is the series for you !!

I had my reservations and was wary about the comparisons to Jurassic Park.
I enjoyed the story, non-stop action from start to finish which is to be expected when picking up a Matthew Reilly book.
