Acclaimed author Michael J. Sullivan created instant best sellers with his spellbinding Riyria Revelations series. This first volume introduces Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater, two enterprising thieves who end up running for their lives when they’re framed for the death of the king. Trapped in a conspiracy bigger than they can imagine, their only hope is unraveling an ancient mystery - before it’s too late.

These guys are probably a take on Fafhord and Grey Mouser but its the style and humor that made me bust out laughing sometimes. We have horses too, they said. Oh I would love to see them but its dark he said. They replied No,No we need stables or something.
I wasn't expecting the humor there so it was even funnier. I'm not to deep in this book yet, 5 hrs or so, But love it so far.

In the virtual reality game Heir Apparent, there are way too many ways to get killed, and Giannine seems to be finding them all. Which is a darn shame, because unless she can get the magic ring, locate the stolen treasure, answer the dwarf's dumb riddles, impress the head-chopping statue, charm the army of ghosts, fend off the barbarians, and defeat the man-eating dragon, she'll never win. And she has to, because losing means she'll die, for real this time.

If your over 10 I'm not sure you'll find enough to stay awake, very repetitious. I know that's how the story is laid out, but way to much explaining things . No need to think for yourself when listening with this book.I checked it out because adult Science Fiction is to adult more times then not.
If you find Good Teen Science Fiction, it's enjoyable by anybody.

John Perry did two things on his 75th birthday. First, he visited his wife's grave. Then he joined the army. The good news is that humanity finally made it into interstellar space. The bad news is that planets fit to live on are scarce - and alien races willing to fight us for them are common. So, we fight, to defend Earth and to stake our own claim to planetary real estate. Far from Earth, the war has been going on for decades: brutal, bloody, unyielding.
