I like the characters , their development and how the authors present them, as if we are listening to them, inside their heads
Ms Flosnik is excellent. Fantastic work on various character voices.
I would like to give this story a 4.5. It is not as fantastic as Secret Smile. Still, Catch Me is highly recommended.
Author is setting up for a book 4, I would bet. AFAIAC, Julia saves the story with her excellent narration. I am ok with the ending
I like many of the characters. author does a good job defining them. The story is a good one. I liked the part of the human outpost near Denver. I felt it provided some relief to the dreadful circumstances. Some will find the end of the world themes sort of depressing. The characters heroically battle their way thru it.
I think she is great. I would think the many male voices she has to mimic, can be difficult.
it would be a very long movie. I doubt it will ever happen.
I actually skipped some chapters in the very long middle part- the dialogue got silly and predictable. Sort of like little kids arguing sometimes.
The characters are interesting and well developed. Author does a great job in getting us to care about the characters. story line is very cool
Got past 2 hours listening and gave it up. Some characters just jump into the mix with no setting. The story of a kidnapped girl has to be handled carefully, IMO.
want part 2
Prior Saga series
it is a fascinating, multi character SF opera. some parts seem slow but I still enjoyed K.J. Andersons work
while the story is from 1957, it still seems contemporary.
The different levels of deceit by the characters was fascinating.
I think child abduction is a difficult topic. Its difficult to read about children suffering. The plot takes far too long to develop. The last hour seems to be rushed to tidy up all the loose ends. I like the Dr Frieda Klein character. realistic portrait of a psychiatrist. The Ukrainian handyman seems to be lightweight , sort of a mildly humorous insert to all the tension in this story.
it should have faster pacing. Some of the characters are superfluous.
ending and the Doctors pivotal role is entertaining
not my favorite. the topic is difficult IMO. I wanted to give the story a good listen since the author(s) are excellent. In retrospect, I would not have bought it
Tom Wood is an excellent author. His main character , with his social flaws is somehow sympathetic a/l/a Dexter. Rob Shapiro does his usual fabulous job with voices/narration
Rob is the perfect narrator. A great job of all of Tom wood's books
really needed more ' sci fi ' and working the interesting sci fi themes.
legal crime drama
narrator could not rescue this story
some interesting sci fi themes.
characters were sort of depressing. did not enjoy reading about all their strife and suffering.
+ 11. I am 3 hours into this audio book and it is great.
I haven't finished it yet but the story is terrific and its building.
Jeff is a terrific narrator and brings a unique voice to each character. Don't miss it.
Jeff's understated wit and/or Dexter's sardonic/sarcastic remarks are very funny.
If you like Dexter and Jeff's Dexter books, this purchase is a no brainer ! It delivers !
