From the free first chapter, until the last quiet moments of the end: wonderful. Beautifully written, touching story that is difficult to step away from. Jim Dale's narrative voice creates such well chosen character and depth to an already captivating tale. To say I thoroughly enjoyed this experience doesn't seem enough.. listening to it a second time to soak it in all over again! Why has this author not had more on Audible.com? :)
Sadly I purchased this book based on having heard the sound sample. The tidbit was entertaining and well narrated. As much as I love the voice the content was horrid. Didn't get past a few minutes of Part 2 (which is where i accidentally started listening after download) Had no idea the language was so vulgar and pointlessly crude! What could very well be an entertaining story was wrecked by overuse of f-bombs and sexual terms that only detracted from the listening experience. And this is on the Great First Listens list! Bad, bad impression of Audible.com as a result.
