It’s Davis Way’s first slot-tournament season. And it may be her last. Things are dicey at work. A personal assistant goes missing, a little old lady goes on a suspicious winning streak, and a Bellissimo executive goes gaga for Davis. She follows a disappearing slot-tournament player trail to the So Help Me God Pentecostal Church in Beehive, Alabama, then jumps headlong into a high stakes holy scandal. She’s on a losing streak at home, too. Her days, nights, and dinners run together, as Davis juggles a revolving door of uninvited guests, namely her rotten ex-ex-husband, Eddie Crawford.

When I am in the mood to listen to something fun and entertaining to escape from daily stresses, I usually download a Janet Evanovich book. Since I have everything she has ever written I was excited to discover Gretchen Archer. She writes with the same carefree, lets laugh at ourselves style, that Janet has but in her own original way. Her characters are believable and you can always find yourself saying "Yes, I know someone like that!!" This story is also well narrated. I have become a fan of not only Gretchen but of Amber Benson as well. She is very talented and brings Davis to life as well as all the other characters. Keep writing Gretchen! And Keep reading Amber. Gwendolyn Kidd has met the man of her dreams. He's hot, he's sexy, and what started as a no-names-exchanged night of passion has blossomed into a year and a half-long pleasure fest. Sure, it's a little strange that he only appears in her bed at night, but Gwen is so sure he's the one, she just can't turn him away…. Hawk Delgado knows more about Gwen than she could ever imagine. She's gorgeous, headstrong, and skittish about relationships. But Hawk is facing his own demons, demons that keep him from connecting with anyone.

This book introduces more hot men than any girl could hope for. The problem is that its hard to believe so many hot men all want the same woman! Who to choose?? I loved her smart witty remarks and could relate to Gwendolyns thought processes as she was shot at, Romanced, Kidnapped and Rescued not once but a few times! It was entertaining although a little bit long. I kept wanting to skip tot he end but I didn't. I will download more books from Kristen Ashley.

Set in 1890 Victorian England, Dark Persuasion tells a romantic story of regret, restitution, forgiveness, and redemption. It is a triangle of deceit and love fueled by emotions of selfish pursuit, guilt, and surrender among three people who are prisoners of their past.

The story was wonderful enough to keep my attention but the authors descriptions of the surroundings made the story come to life. Can't wait until more from Vicki Hopkins becomes available on Audible.

This final play from the pen of Oscar Wilde is a stylish send-up of Victorian courtship and manners, complete with assumed names, mistaken lovers, and a lost handbag. Jack and Algernon are best friends, both wooing ladies who think their names are Ernest, "that name which inspires absolute confidence." Wilde's effervescent wit, scathing social satire, and high farce make this one of the most cherished plays in the English language.

An explosive, heartbreaking memoir from the widow of Mark Madoff and daughter-in-law of Bernard Madoff, the first genuine inside story from a family member who has lived through - and survived - both the public crisis and her own deeply personal tragedy. In this candid insider account, she talks about her idyllic wedding to Mark, what it was really like to be a part of the Madoff family, the build-up to Bernard's confession, and the media frenzy that followed. It is about the loss of the fairytale life she knew and the tragic and final loss of her husband.

Not your typical boring diet book, this is a tart-tongued, no-holds-barred wakeup call to all women who want to be thin. With such blunt advice as "soda is liquid Satan" and "you are a total moron if you think the Atkins Diet will make you thin", it's a rallying cry for all savvy women to start eating healthy and looking radiant. Unlike standard diet books, it actually makes the reader laugh out loud with its truthful, smart-mouthed revelations.

I will remain my fat and sassy self if this is what it takes to get skinny! I refuse to eat SOY and tasteless crap all the time because according to this you can not eat anything enjoyable! All real food is bad for you! Really!

Mickey Haller has fallen on tough times. He expands his business into foreclosure defense, only to see one of his clients accused of killing the banker she blames for trying to take away her home. Mickey puts his team into high gear to exonerate Lisa Trammel, even though the evidence and his own suspicions tell him his client is guilty. Soon after he learns that the victim had black market dealings of his own, Haller is assaulted, too - and he's certain he's on the right trail. Despite the danger and uncertainty, Haller mounts the best defense of his career in a trial where the last surprise comes after the verdict is in.

To address their general malaise, four privileged L.A. housewives each make a pact to have a year-long extramarital affair. Their husbands are declared off-limits, and the friends agree to confide only in each other (the theory being that dalliances cause trouble in large part because word gets out). And so the ladies embark - two eagerly, one cautiously, and one very reluctantly - on perilous romantic paths that lead to all manner of adventure and intrigue.
