If you like books that looks at unearthly concepts from a scientific view point or in this case from a scientific mind then this is one book you will love. This book describes the actual experience along with all of the science that tried to disprove it but couldn't. This is the type of book that can sway people who are on our close to the fence about things beyond this world
It is a simple story line, easy to figure out what is going on .. didn't need to listen to closely. I enjoyed it but not like I enjoyed Angels and Demons ... This book is not in the same category of good. So it was an okay book. If you like Dan Brown you will like it not love it
What intrigued me about this book was vivid descriptions of what it was like before cures where found, the big business of finding cures and the foresight of inventors. The book was a great mix of medical facts, the human condition, the passion of people, the culture of the time and key events that helped cures happen. This is a must for any history buff who loves seeing all aspects of history.
My dad also listened to this and he loved it. It can be a bit repetitive at times and sad from a humanity perspective. I liked the book but could only take the depraved nature of the history in bit sized chunks. With that aside there is not a piece of the Nazi history that is not talked about ... very in depth ..... well spoken ....
This is a crazy story .... it is a life story book on drugs .... I am not sure how to describe this except to say if you like weird stories that take you on strange drug like detours then you are good. I liked its strangeness ... the story was vivid and compelling ... I did find myself going from engrossed to apathy as the story went from interesting to far to bizarre for my taste but the weirdness did not last long
I purchased this because it was on sale and boy was I glad I did. This book is a "life story" book that weaves its tales throughout the life of the main character. It was an easy listen that also got you really involved with the characters. If you like life stories you will like this one....
This book describes what traits and characteristics great leaders have in common is does this with great stories about the companies and leaders themselves. A must read for all business people and people who aspire to be a leader. Heck at a minimum it will help you judge what type of leader your own boss or CEO is.. maybe it is time to look for greener pastures or stay where you are ......
Not sure if I really got anything from this book except reading body language takes many years of practice and if you are not an expert like this guy then don't really try it .... If you are looking for techniques for reading peoples body language this maybe disappointing.
I liked how this went through the ups and downs of a persons life... it has hidden meanings and provokes thought and reflection in ones own life. This is a great addition to a persons collection of self help books, the meaning of life, people searching for something more. It is easy to listen too in a story book fashion. Nice change of pace from the "do this, do that" type self help books
If you have a read Buddha books before then you will not learn anything new here. This would be good for people new to buddha and tells the concepts in a more modern way. It does not provide any insights or practices but more of an "Intro to Buddha"
