  • Blue Ocean Strategy: How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make Competition Irrelevant

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 32 mins)
    • By W. Chan Kim, Renee Mauborgne
    • Narrated By Grover Gardner

In an audiobook that challenges everything you thought you knew, W. Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne assert that tomorrow's leading companies will succeed, not by battling their rivals for market share in the bloody "red ocean" of a shrinking profit pool, but by creating "blue oceans" of untapped new market spaces ripe for growth.

Robert Donoghue says: "Get the actual book"
"Great book and narration is fine"

This book is very thought provoking and excellent value. After reading the reviews that panned the narrator, I was waiting for the irregularities in narration other reviewers complained about but... sorry I thought it was very good. No pauses in unusual places, not robotic. Actually I thought the narration was seamless!! The other reviews on this are puzzling. A good audiobook in my view.

  • The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades)

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 21 mins)
    • By Robert Spencer
    • Narrated By Jeff Riggenbach

You think you know about Islam. But, did you know that Islam teaches that Muslims must wage war to impose Islamic law on non-Muslim states, or that American Muslim groups are engaged in a huge cover-up of Islamic doctrine? These and other "politically incorrect" facts are revealed by Robert Spencer in The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades).

James says: "Take in the Meat and spit out the bones."

This is one of the most astonishing books I have read/listened to for a very long time! If you could make a book compulsory this would be it. This is not a doom gloom end of the world throw away, this in my view, is an astute and scholarly "Watchman on the wall" clarion call to western society to wake up along the lines of Bonhoeffer in the 2nd world war. The flow and narration is seamless. I disagree with the earlier reviewer who thought the "Jesus says, Mohammed says" sections were weak. I thought they were oustanding along with the "Books you are not supposed to read" references. There is opinion here, but it is backed up by a mountain of evidence and historical facts and quotations that has your head spinning. Refreshingly frank and to the point. A real straight shooter. The PC brigade will try shreik this down but I say read it, Read it, Read it before it's too late!

  • Survival Is Not Enough: Zooming, Evolution, and the Future of Your Company

    • ABRIDGED (2 hrs and 54 mins)
    • By Seth Godin
    • Narrated By Seth Godin

It's come to this. All the confusion and chaos and change and turmoil in our working lives have finally tipped the balance. We now need a new way of doing business. Best selling author Seth Godin leads the way, using Darwin's theory of evolution as a simple yet profound model.

    Gerard says: "Evolution analogy"
    "Evolution analogy"

Seth is a breath of fresh air as a rule but here he introduces the analogy of business growth to evolution of species which, although I understand the points he is trying to make, is in my view, the biggest load of tripe ever unpacked. Dog eat dog is not reality, "In the measure you give it will be given.." is. Suffice to say I found the analogy very distracting.

  • Something for Nothing

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 4 mins)
    • By Brian Tracy
    • Narrated By Brian Tracy

Rather than participate and innovate in the marketplace, generating goods and services that benefit society, people are increasingly vying for political advantage to live at the expense of others.

Mitch says: "Great plan for success, specially for the young"
    "Not Brian's best"

I am a big fan of Brian's stuff, but I could not get past his 'Greed and laziness are neither good or bad in themselves..' idea! Where does that come from Brian? Of course greed and Laziness are bad... but then again, maybe bad is not really bad in itself??!!!
