I really enjoyed this book. Oswalt's style of narration is reminiscent of Anthony Bourdain's writing. His stories are offbeat and my kind of humour.
I'm a big fan of Miranda Hart and was thrilled to find her audiobook. It did not disappoint.
Interesting subject matter. The editing of the narration isn't up to par though.
The editing is odd. There are gaps in weird places, such as mid-sentence.
A lot of fun. If you only have five minutes in your car or an hour on the bus, this is the perfect book to listen to. Lots of fun facts, riddles and trivia.
Good stories from a multitude of cities reputed for their food.
Audible needs more of these types of books. There are too few audiobooks of this kind here.
Absolutely brilliant! I loved every minute of it! I recommend it to anyone who loves humorous memoirs.
Disappointing that the narrator can't quite transmit the essence of Julia's words. Her French is lacking, which distracts from the story.
Otherwise, a recommended book for any fans of Julia.
P?pin describes his life through the various jobs he's held, and emphasizes his love of food. The narrator does a good job of transmitting the author's words in a warm way.
P?pin talks about his jobs, his friends, his views on food. A great book for those who have admired his career, or who want to know more about this amazing chef.
