Yes. This is the first audio book of hers that I've listened to. The performance was strong and helped the characters and plot believable
While Amanda is a difficult personality, the contrast between the young Amanda and the older Amanda gives us an interesting dichotomy
I like Slaughter's books and their setting in the south. The barriers that women faced even in the mid 70's were amazing. I'm not a fan of flashbacks, but Slaughter makes it work and answers a lot of questions about her characters
I enjoyed the other Dan Brown books, so bought this one as soon as it was available. What a waste. I struggled to get through it and only finished it to be able to say I had read the whole thing......Save your money for a good John Sandford
I've read all of the Silva books and enjoy the characters. However this narrator ruins both the book and the story. I would suggest that you get this book from the library and avoid having to listen to it,.......
I've enjoyed these Wilhelm's in the past even though the courtroom drama gets a bit overdone. However, this one really slows down after you meet the characters and stays that way until the last 15 minutes. Save your money and buy a different Wilhelm, or better yet get a Margolin.......
We bought this for a long trip over Christmas for entertainment and to keep us awake. That was a serious mistake. This is the most boring Kellerman I've read (listened to). The detail wanders all over everywhere and the plot was practically invisible.
Save your money and get the DeMille
I generally enjoy the Kellerman series, particularly the Delaware's. Therefore I was prepared to like the new character. After struggling through two discs, I finally gave up. Absolutely no continuity or plot development. Felt like I really wasted one of my book credits. Save your money and buy something else!
