Justin and Libby Denbe have the kind of life you’d find in the pages of a glossy magazine: A beautiful 14-year-old daughter. A gorgeous brownstone on a tree-lined street in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. A great marriage, admired by all. A perfect life. When investigator Tessa Leone arrives at the crime scene in the foyer of the Denbes’ home, she finds scuff marks on the floor and a million tiny pieces of bright green Taser confetti. The family appears to have been abducted.

I am a huge Lisa Gardner fan but this story was fabulous--IMHO, her best so far. I literally could not stop listening, the twists and turns just kept coming, and the narration was perfect.

As the sole survivor of the car crash that killed her parents, grief-stricken paramedic Kit MacKlenna is stunned to learn her life is built on lies. A legacy from her father includes a faded letter and a well-worn journal. The journal reveals she was abandoned as a baby 160 years ago. The only clues to her identity are a blood-splattered shawl, a locket with the portrait of a 19th century man, and a Celtic brooch with magical powers.

For twenty-five years, the trusted family doctor in a small Wyoming town had been raping and molesting the women and children who most relied on him. Mostly Mormons, the naive victims sometimes realized on their wedding nights the truth about what had happened in Dr. Story's office.

This was a very emotional listening experience. Dr. Story, a physician and sexual predator, abuses his patients for years and it is a TRUE story. Though very hard to listen at times, I was inspired by the brave women who ultimately persevered in holding him accountable and sending him to prison....

A serial killer on the loose, a woman being stalked, and a homicide detective who must find the connection between the two before she becomes his next victim. He collects women. The Sandman, a vicious serial killer, who because of all of the twists and turns made it almost impossible for the listener to identify. Though quite graphic and sometimes hard to listen to, I thouroughly enjoyed this audiobook. Two strong main characters, very well developed and likable~interesting that Megan and Detective Thomas did not even meet until the second half of the story. Some romance (not too much) and wonderfully narrated by Teri Schnaubelt. Highly recommended...

Frightening but very interesting story about a terrorist attack in Columbus, Ohio (The Heartland of America). Senator Sterling, a presidential candidate, is the main target but a large gathering of people are put at risk by the jihadists. The inclusion of Everett Lester (ROCK STAR CHRONICLES) and his family was fascinating. Jack Crittendon, his wife, and her mother were my favorite characters. Pam (wife) was in such a horrible situation and Margaret (her mother) was just wonderful. The action was nonstop, the narration by Troy Klein very good, and the ending quite surprising.

Jane and Caleb are such wonderful characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the continuation of their story~as in the first book, I laughed (example: Dr. Oz) and I cried. Such a sweet love story, great narration, and a satisfying ending. Hoping there will be more books in this series.

What is it about guys with guitars in their hands that makes them so irresistible, even when they are obviously self-centered jerks? If Abby and Maggie could answer that question, maybe they could finally get over Nathaniel. There's just something about him when he picks up his guitar and gets behind the microphone, something that makes sensible women act like teenyboppers instead of rational, self-respecting adults.

Cannot think of another character I have despised more than Nathaniel~he is an alcoholic, self centered, and completely thoughtless. Maggie, IMHO, was not much better. However, I absolutely loved Abby and hoped for a wonderful outcome for her~she was so kind and wise beyond her years. Well written story, well drawn characters, enjoyable narration, interesting listen, neatly wrapped up at the end.

It's up to Jamie to find the real murderer before it's too late. It doesn't help that the victim is a former rock star with more enemies than friends, or that Adam confessed to a murder he didn't commit.
