The dying Empire's most cunning and ruthless warlord - Grand Admiral Thrawn - has taken command of the remnants of the Imperial fleet and launched a massive campaign aimed at the New Republic's destruction. With the aid of unimaginable weapons long hidden away on a backwater planet, Thrawn plans to turn the tide of battle, overwhelm the New Republic, and impose his iron rule. Meanwhile, Han and Lando Calrissian race against time to find proof of treason inside the highest Republican Council.

Marc Thompson' performance of this brilliant story is second to none. He created voices for previously unknown characters and did a fantastic job on mimicing the characters we all know from the first three films. His portrayal of Grand Admiral Thrawn really made the character come to life. He was menacing and always in control. Really great series.

Once the Sith order teemed with followers. But their rivalries divided them in endless battles for supremacy - until one dark lord at last united the Sith in the quest to enslave the galaxy and exterminate the Jedi. Yet it would fall to another, far more powerful than the entire Brotherhood of Darkness, to ultimately realize the full potential of the Sith, and wield the awesome power of the dark side as never before.

What made the experience of listening to Path of Destruction the most enjoyable?

Jonathan Davis' performance is excellent. The voices he chose and the way he delivered the lines really make the experience all the more enjoyable. The story is excellent as are the sound fx. Its nice to see things from a predominantly Sith point of view.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Definitely.

    Any additional comments?

This is probably my favourite series in the Star Wars extended universe so far. I have enjoyed every one I have listened to but this one really stands out. The performance is great as is the story.

When their village is attacked by trollocs, monsters thought to be only legends, three young men, Rand, Matt, and Perrin, flee in the company of the Lady Moiraine, a sinister visitor of unsuspected powers. Thus begins an epic adventure set in a world of wonders and horror, where what was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Eye of the World to be better than the print version?

I have never read the print version. I really enjoyed the audio version.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There are lots of great characters. I am new to this series so I am just getting into it but so far Lan and Nynaeve are standing out. I would also love to find out more about Lews Therin Telamon.
