Ethan Wate used to think of Gatlin, the small Southern town he had always called home, as a place where nothing ever changed. Then he met mysterious newcomer Lena Duchannes, who revealed a secret world that had been hidden in plain sight all along. A Gatlin that harbored ancient secrets beneath its moss-covered oaks and cracked sidewalks.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If the authors hadn't spent so much time covering old territory I'd have enjoyed it so much more. Seems like it was written for the person who had NOT read the first book. It dragged, moving so slowly that I finally skipped to the end just to be done with it.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I found it predictable and over time it got more and more boring. Gave up 3/4 way through
