This was one of my favorite books in the whole Percy Jackson series. I didn't have a problem with the narrator. I'm just excited about the next book when everyone finally gets together. I wish Rick Riordan could write as fast as I can read!
I'm always a little dubious when these authors stray from what I think is their strongest character. But I think they nailed it this time. The story is fast-paced and intelligent. The narrator is new to me, but he did a great job with quick dialogue. I am excited for the next installment.
Connie Willis is always great, but I loved the light-hearted nature of this book. I laughed out loud at times. The narrator was great and did the book justice. If you're looking for an intelligent, fun, sci-fi book, this is it.
This book is amazing. I felt like I was really in London during WWII. The characters feel like friends I just left. But I have to give credit to the children's characters: every time the story risked becoming too maudlin, it was saved by their outrageous behavior! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
