    • By Robin Sharma

In a constantly changing, hyper-competitive world, leadership is more important than ever. Yet few people have what it takes to inspire, develop, and guide others. In this presentation, Robin Sharma shares the leadership lessons that he gives to clients such as Nike, Microsoft, and NASA.

Mrs says: "Di's point of view"
    "Download It!"

  • The Elephant to Hollywood

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 18 mins)
    • By Michael Caine
    • Narrated By Michael Caine

Sir Michael Caine is loved not just for his many films, but for his warmth, honesty, and humour in describing every aspect of his life from his humble South London beginnings to performing alongside the greatest Hollywood actors of the day.

    Sherrill says: "Captivating"
    "An Original"
What did you love best about The Elephant to Hollywood?

I first read Michael Caine's biography What's It All About? which tracks Caine's upbringing from the working class to Hollywood. That was quite a while ago, and I was glad to update myself with his spoken version. And who better to tell Michael Caine's story than Michael Caine? It's a long story but he's had an amazingly long career - it's personal enough and a testament to his determination to make it in spite of the odds. Mostly enjoyable. You can't fault the non-events that are inevitable in an autobiography like this....PS I'm going to miss Sir Michael Caine when he's gone. They don't make stars like him anymore.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There is only one leading man here.

  • What Makes Us Healthy?: Understanding Mystical Law and Your Parallel Reality

    • ORIGINAL (6 hrs and 29 mins)
    • By Caroline Myss
    • Narrated By Caroline Myss

In What Makes Us Healthy? best-selling author and internationally renowned speaker Caroline Myss delivers a thought-provoking live lecture on the current state of our health, exploring the mystical forces that create disease or wellness. Describing our evolving - and often misguided - relationship with well-being, Myss explains that to truly be healthy, we need a better understanding of ourselves and the factors that influence our lives.

Doaa says: "What a great listen!"
"Potent Subject - But Maybe Not the Best Execution"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I can understand the negative reviews of this audiobook / lecture. Caroline Myss does meander here and there and I lose her train of thought now and then. It's apparent that Caroline knows what she wants to say but something is left out. I think this could have been edited a bit for repetition. Caroline pulls no punches in this one - it's hard and almost confrontational, underscoring the urgency of her message. She starts strong - meanders - and ends strong. This is the voice of someone who is concerned about the state of humankind and it shows. I felt this in my gut.

What was one of the most memorable moments of What Makes Us Healthy??

It's all about the truth and being true to ourselves...hover over me God.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Caroline Myss?

Of course. But would be good to figure out how to differentiate one book from another! There are similar themes.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Caroline is one of the most passionate speakers there is.

    Any additional comments?

    Listen and learn!

    Haven't heard anything like it.

  • Self-Esteem: Your Fundamental Power

    • By Caroline Myss
    • Narrated By Caroline Myss

What is self-esteem? A type of confidence? Or something far greater? In Self-Esteem, best selling author Caroline Myss casts a new light on this often misunderstood subject, redefining self-esteem as an actual core power that is essential to our evolutionary progress.

Rebecca says: "The BEST Book/Recording on Self Esteem EVER."
"The One & Only Caroline Myss"
Would you listen to Self-Esteem again? Why?

Self Esteem is a complex yet essential subject. Caroline Myss brings a lot of insights into the subject, but being a speech - the listener will have to focus on her points and insights.

Caroline Myss has a lot to offer. She is one of the most profound and unique minds in the field of self-help, self-realisation and healing today.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Self-Esteem?

We can't elevate our self-esteem by knocking others. Plus simple meditations about dealing with negative comments.

What does Caroline Myss bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Caroline Myss is Caroline Myss. She walks and talks the talk. It's a very personal subject for her. However, that said, sometimes we need to review details as there are layers to the information she is presenting.

What did you learn from Self-Esteem that you would use in your daily life?

    Quite a few things.

  • Reinventing the Body, Resurrecting the Soul: How to Create a New Self

    • UNABRIDGED (10 hrs and 15 mins)
    • By Deepak Chopra
    • Narrated By Deepak Chopra
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Fifteen years after his number-one New York Times best seller, Ageless Body, Timeless Mind, Deepak Chopra revisits "the forgotten miracle" - the body's infinite capacity for change and renewal. You cannot take advantage of this miracle, Chopra says, unless you are willing to completely reinvent your body, transforming it from a material object to a dynamic, flowing process.

Amazon Customer says: "A Wonderful Source of Knowledge..."
    "Deepak's Best"

This is perhaps the most relevant and up to date book I've heard from Deepak Chopra. Highly recommended. Yes - you may have to get used to his accent if you're American. I'm Asian and have no problems with his words. What he has to say is excellent.

  • Experiments in Truth

    • ORIGINAL (7 hrs and 46 mins)
    • By Ram Dass

From the beginning of his career in the 1960s, Ram Dass' retreats and lectures have been meticulously recorded and archived. Experiments in Truth is an historic collection of this legendary teacher's most important recordings. Join this pioneer of engaged spirituality for eight inspiring lectures, each one an indelible masterpiece of humor and insight about the spiritual journey today.

Suzanna Davis says: "Opens the heart and soul with truth and laughter"

Ram Dass is an excellent raconteur and this collection of speeches made over several years drives home a few key points about how to approach life. Although he sometimes does not "conclude" as we would want him to and perhaps meanders somewhat, the later parts of this are absolutely crystal clear. Enjoyable and enlightening.

  • Roger Moore: My Word Is My Bond

    • ABRIDGED (2 hrs and 40 mins)
    • By Roger Moore
    • Narrated By Roger Moore

The first ever autobiography of this truly international legend, written with all the trademark style, candour, charm, and wit he has brought to stage and screen over his long and illustrious career.

With personal anecdotes about such luminaries as Noel Coward, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Cary Grant, and Sean Connery, and memories from the heyday of Hollywood, this frank, funny and charming autobiography is packed with wonderful stories.

    G. YEO says: "Bond Lite - But A Delightful Listen"
"Bond Lite - But A Delightful Listen"

Roger Moore's abridged biography is, like his Bond films, easy going. Moore infuses the read with natural passion, in his exquisite voice which his fans will no doubt enjoy. Note that this is more memoir lite than in depth stuff - probably because it's abridged. Moore also remains the impeccable Gentleman, which perhaps explains why he isn't the gossiping type. He admits dissing Grace Jones in Octopussy - in a rare flash of anger. While this is not a salacious read, it is certainly for those who grew up on Roger Moore as Bond or the Saint. 5 stars for the enjoyable read. 3.5 stars for the story. And 4 overall!

  • Giant Steps

    • ABRIDGED (2 hrs and 6 mins)
    • By Anthony Robbins
    • Narrated By Anthony Robbins

Based on the finest tools, techniques, principles, and strategies offered in Awaken the Giant Within, best-selling author and peak-performance consultant Anthony Robins offers daily inspiration and small actions (exercises) that will compel you to take giant steps forward in the quality of your life.

steve says: "Part 1 is better"
    "Relevant but Dated Music Production"

Anthony Robbins is always relevant and one of the best motivational gurus around. HOWEVER - poor music mars this production - very dated keyboards make this sound bad. Get past that and try to focus on Anthony's words. But he really should re-record it. The words are timeless, the music isn't!

  • Why Good People Do Bad Things

    • UNABRIDGED (8 hrs and 7 mins)
    • By Debbie Ford
    • Narrated By Debbie Ford
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Why Good People Do Bad Things exposes the pervasive and often hidden impulses that influence our everyday decisions. The headlines are full of stories of good people gone astray. They show up on the evening news and are splashed across the weekly tabloids.

    Christine says: "Understanding shadows"
    "Debbie's book is great"

I enjoy unabridged books and Debbie Ford is spot on in her observations. Recommended.
