I have listened to all books in the John Rain series and although I have enjoyed all of them I wish Barry Eisler had read narrated all of them. He does a great job.
I enjoyed this book well after the halfway point. Story was very slow getting off the ground.
I am considering another book by Chuck Barrett.
Could not get into this book, did not realize it was targeted for young people.
No I don't think so.
Did not like anything about the performance. Maybe because the material was poor.
Did not like much about the story at all. I least like Dick Hill's reading. He sounds older and raspier than I recall his earlier readings. It transfers to the sense of who Jack Reacher is...
Maybe after a long absence of any new material I have changed what I am looking for...
This is my second book in this series and although as some other reviews have stated the main charter Victor was very different in book two from the first book. It was a little of-putting at first but then it was fine and engrossing. Lots of hard action to say the least...
Victor, cool and calm in the face of danger!
More expression in his voice... very dead pan.
There so much unnecessary detail that could have been left out.
This is the only book I have listened to by this author so my comments are limited to this one book. Poor writing and performance as well.
