America's Angriest Trainer, Vinnie Tortorich, exposes the nasty underbelly of the fitness industry while getting you into the best shape of your life. For over 20 years, Vinnie has been Hollywood's go-to guy for celebrities and athletes looking to get fit fast. Now, in this hilarious and often R-rated memoir, he holds nothing back. What's the best piece of fitness equipment money can buy? What's the fastest way to lose weight: diet or exercise? Why are health clubs worse than used car lots? In Fitness Confidential, Vinnie tells all.

Robert says: "The best fitness book I've ever read"

What disappointed you about Fitness Confidential?

This book was more about Vinnie then fitness. He talks about his young life, being in football, being a fitness instructor, sex with customers, cancer, his bike races etc.
What little fitness he discusses items such as this: calories in does not equal calories out. A clear violation of thermodynamics. Do not eat grains or sugar but all the bacon and fat you want (a modified Atkin's diet) which is unhealthy in the long run.

Has Fitness Confidential turned you off from other books in this genre?

    No just his future books!

What didn’t you like about Vinnie Tortorich’s performance?

Vinnie thinks he is a comedian so he continually broke script from his written books to crack unfunny jokes.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment that I wasted money on the book and Vinnie profited from it.

    Any additional comments?

Don't waste a penny on the audio.

A manual for relating to the brain in a revolutionary new way, Super Brain explains how to use your brain as a gateway for achieving health, happiness, and spiritual growth. The authors are two pioneers: best-selling author and physician Deepak Chopra and Harvard Medical School professor Rudolph E. Tanzi, one of the world's foremost experts on the causes of Alzheimer’s. They have merged their wisdom and expertise for a bold new understanding of the “three-pound universe” and its untapped potential.

What did you like best about Super Brain? What did you like least?

The book was boring because there was nothing new. It is simplistic and general in scope. I agree with the majority of it but I was looking for some Ah Ha moments but there were none. It was common sense but unfortunately people do not always follow common sense.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

    Finally over!

    Which scene was your favorite?

    N/A

Was Super Brain worth the listening time?

    No

    Any additional comments?

Like many books it could easily be written in 10 pages.

We used to make things in this country. We were the dazzling innovators, the undisputed world economic leaders, and with our manufacturing engine driving the process, we built a solid, high-achieving middle class. Now, thanks to policies that are either indifferent - or downright hostile - to manufacturing, we're at the brink of losing it all. If you think this won't affect you, guess again. Author Andrew N. Liveris presents a powerful case for the critical importance of domestic manufacturing.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

The title of the should be "Corporate Welfare". To summarize you need to give tax incentives, subsidizes, free land etc. or companies will leave for foreign countries because they bribe the US companies better than the US. So fork over the money US or we will leave and let you rot.

Would you recommend Make It in America to your friends? Why or why not?

If you are liberal you will love this book because he loves to quote Kennedy and mentions FDR several times.

Did Dick Hill do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

He did a great job of reading the book. The only thing missing was an Aussie accent.

Could you see Make It in America being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Shoe this right after Atlas Shrugged.

    Any additional comments?

I agree with many items but I get tired of his advertisements for Dow. I totally disagree with his alternative energy point of view. We should be spending money on natural gas infrastructure as opposed to solar and wind. Neither of witch will be the future other than maybe 15% of the total US demand. He just wants Dow to be subsidized for producing solar shingles.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This was a very interesting book and I totally agree with the author. He presents his case very well. I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 because it is very repetitious and the author could have easily gotten his point across in half the time. Anyone wanting to know about about the progressive's agenda should listen to this audiobook.

The near-meltdown of Fukushima, the upheavals in the Middle East, the BP oil rig explosion, and the looming reality of global warming have reminded the president and all U.S. citizens that nothing has more impact on our lives than the supply of and demand for energy. Its procurement dominates our economy and foreign policy more than any other factor. But the "energy question" is more confusing, contentious, and complicated than ever before.

If you could sum up Energy for Future Presidents in three words, what would they be?

A good book which gives a balance perspective on energy. Does not have a PDF download which is referenced in the audio.

    Any additional comments?

I would have left out the section on what energy is. I am familiar with physics so when he was talking about symmetries and spatial and time translations I understood. The average perso would get nothing out of this chapter.
