I think that when I downloaded this book, someone had said the this was "maybe" Lisa Gardner's best book. "Maybe", my you know what!
It IS her best book! I liked what the readers did with the voices and how they weaved the web. I listen in the car and multiple times I was yelling WOA! or WHAT????
You will love this book.
Great story. I was totally into the plot. Love Harry Bosch.
I was very disappointed when it ended after 50 minutes (I know...it's posted).
That story is far from over. What's the plan? We releasing this in stages?
It's like Michael went on vacation and submitted it as is...
Probably in a year or so. I'm not much for re-listening until I forget most of the details.
Yes. The story moved along at a quick pace, and the switching between story characters kept me alert during the reading.
Very well read
No. I listen on the commute on a train
First... I don't like this new format for writing a review. That's for Audible.
My wife suggested that I listen to a Lisa Gardner book several years ago. Since then, I have been a very hard core fan. I listen to everything that she releases.
I've listened to most of her books that are available up here and I have to say that I think that this is one of her best ever! 5,5,5,5,5!!
About 85% through this book, I said to myself.....OK I know what's going to happen.
I listen while I commute on a train to Philadelphia during the week and in my car on the weekends.
Tonight on the train, I got to the end of the book and said...Aha. I know what's going to happen. OK...Yea...a bit disappointing cause I figured it out.
I pull into my driveway after getting off the train, and I'm listening to what I think is the epilog and all of a sudden....WHAM!!!!!! WHAT???? OH COOL!!!
Lisa.. I hope you see this. I love you!!!! You are a genius. How do you come up with these great story lines???? Great finish!!!!!
What a great book!!!!
My wife is 3rd in line to get the book at our local library and she's dying to get her hands on it after my babbling...
I like Lee Child, but this one just had me asking....."what"? I listen while driving and when I heard the ending I thought to myself....what the heck was this book about. Jack Reacher in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of corn husters trying to kill him. Not sure why the heck he was there from the beginning.
Todate, I have listened to all of Harlen's books. Harlen Coben is one of my favorite authors.
I usually listen in my car while commuting. I think that this book is as good as any of his others. There were nights when I sat in th driveway glued to Play Dead waiting for a chapter to end before shutting down my iPod.
I disagree with the negative reviews. If you like Harlen, you'll like this book.
If you like Spy vs Spy type of books, here it is.
Multiple plots, people chasing each other around the world, Terrorists, it's got it all.
This is one of the best written and well read books that I have listened to in the last year.
I was riveted to this book. I hated to get off the train when I got home and couldn't wait to get back on it when I was at work.
One thing that impressed me was at the very moment of the ending... I practically yelled out laud...."COOL!"
I gave up Patricia Corwell because the endings kept going down hill on her books.
I think you're gonna like this one!
If the other selections from Vince Flynn were unabridged, I'd fill my wish list with them.
This story kept my attention through most of the book, but seemed to lack something. When I got to the ending my mind said...."Huh? It's over?" So who killed the victim? Maybe I was asleep during that part. Definitely not her best.
