Hilarious, Tearful and Hot!
Kelly did a great job of showing how even through all the ups and downs that Jeff and Ari experienced, their love won out in the end and it truly conquers all!
The voices of the characters add that extra something especially when Jeff and Ari are arguing or making love. It just adds that extra oomph to experiencing the story.
Ari - she's a real fire cracker. She says what she's thinking when she's thinking it and you better watch out!
The continuity of the story from the Wanted Series is continued with Heather and Josh's story. For me, this was my favorite of the 4 books.
When Josh and Heather make love next to the Llano river for the first time and admit their love for each other. It's like you want to do a fist pump and go "YES"
Heather was my favorite. Arika did a great job portraying Heather's innocence and growth as a character.
Yes. I would listen to all of Kelly's books in one sitting if I could
Not really. I like listening as I drive or do housework or work. But I read a lot so I also have the print version and will read this as well as listen to it again and probably again...
Because this is part of the Wanted Series, I wouldn't "compare" it to any other book. I like that this one ties up the series quite nicely.
Scott is my favorite - I just love Texas Cowboys!
YES, YES and YES!
The first time Layton and Whitley make love in the shower was beautifully written and really showed how far they both had come in how they felt for each other. It wasn't just about having sex!
Their intonations for the Texas "drawl" made me feel like I was listening to someone from Texas!
When Layton realized that Whitley needed his help and rescued her... I don't want to give too much away, but it was a powerfully written scene.
If you haven't read any of Kelly's books, I highly recommend them all!
Not necessarily. I like the audio version because I have a long commute. But I also like the print version because there are bonus scenes and the song lists are included as well. I'm also a voracious reader and have a tendency to re-read my favorite books/authors over the years.
What didn't I like about this story should be the question? The love between Reed and Courtney was genuine and healed both of them from past pain and trauma. I laughed and cried.
I've not listened to Shirl Rae before, but I've listened to Nelson Hobb's because he's on all of Kelly Elliott's other books.
Now that I've found Kelly Elliott, I'm a dedicated, loyal and slightly obsessed fan :-)
This book ranks as one of my favorites so far. The narrators were great and made me really feel like they were the characters of the book.
I don't know that I could compare it exactly. I have a tendency to read/listen to books that are parts of a series. I've always liked getting to know all the characters and then getting "updates" on them in the following books.
My very favorite scene has to be when Gunner takes Ellie out to their "Oak Tree" on the ranch. So romantic and special in that Ellie really starts to believe she can be "wanted".
Even though this book is about people quite a bit younger than me, I thoroughly enjoyed the story, fell in love with Gunner and Ellie and the strength of their commitment to each other.
