Teens ! If you love a sugary, long and drawn out painful romance, narrated and over acted in a superbly teen pitched voice (Andi Arndt), then this is the audible book for you. You will love it.
Adults !! Leave it on the 'shelf' so to speak, and save your credit.
Diana Gabaldon is a top notch writer. Her Outlander series grabs your imagination and will not let you go until you have listened to the very last book and the very last word. Narrator Davina Porter is a joy to listen to. All the different voices she uses are pure magic and her scottish accent is undeniably the best of the best.
Now I have a problem in finding a book that can give me the interest, satisfaction and the magic that the Outlander series gave me. Oh, and did I say that I have fallen deeply in love with Jamie Fraser even though I know that Claire is the perfect wife for him.
The only way I can solve my problem is to listen to the series, yes, each and every book
all over again. Maybe, by that time Diana Gabaldon will have written another book in this series and I will be entranced all over again.
I will be watching the TV series starting here in Canada Aug.24th with bated breath.
I cannot believe Nora Roberts would write such utter rubbish. Many of NR's books have been thoroughly enjoyable and I am a great fan of her writings. But really ! This book is pure non-sense. Please Nora, get well soon !
A really nice story. Lovely romance and three husky admirable brothers. MacLeod Andrews has the most sexy easy voice to listen to. Just love his narration. I would buy any Nora Roberts book narrated by MacLeod in preference to a female voice.
This romance has twist and turns that will keep you guessing and draw you into enticing worlds past and present. Colourful descriptions, and characters you will fall in love with. Narration was excellent. Those of you who thought the narrator should have been a woman are so very wrong...unless that female narrator was Carolyn Bonneyman, of course. Well worth your credit. This book will not disappoint. Go for it !
Delightful characters make you feel part of this convoluted family. Each family member drawing you in to fall in love with all their little idiosyncrasies. Loved this book. Narration was great.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. This story is superbly written and transports the listener to another world. Narration by Carolyn Bonnyman is supreme. I have now listened to all of Sussanna Kearsley's books and wish her latest book The Firebird was available in my country of Canada.
Very enjoyable. Another Lyn Andrews winner. As always Anne Dovers' narration perfect as always.
So very depressing. Not for bedtime listening. I love a good wartime story, but this is definitely not it.
Story line good if a little depressing. Narration brought the characters to life and was excellent.
