All I can say if you liked the first two books you will really enjoy this part of series. Because it shows where Moon comes from and how previous events changed his life.
This is a very good book to listen to however I will say due to the english accent you might find yourself listening to it more than once. It has a Stephen King feel to it so it does hurry to develop the story. But once your into this book I believe you will really love this story.
I have to say I had been looking forward to this book for some time but sadly this story by Rick Riodan was a definite let down. The author made the Percy and AnnaBeth characters seem like they were secondary to the story. For instance AnnaBeth retrieved an artifact and did it with intelligence, and did not really get rewarded for such an awesome action. Even when both characters are there it's like they don't exist. All can say is the reader and or listener might want to pass this by because it's just not worth
This is truly the best is the in this series, you always feel engaged in this story line. The characters are written especially well and drive the story to the next book. A must read or in this case a must you have to listen to.
I believe this book has a cleverness about it which makes it an enjoyable read, I'm sure some people will compare it to Harry Dresden. I for one believe that would be a mistake this character stands on its own with a British charm that Harry just does not possess.
If you have not read this series I believe you will enjoy the characters and the story. This part of series so far is the best, filled with a good mix of action and love story. Somewhat more towards the action which I'm glad about, however with that said I'm sure the listener will enjoy it no matter which they prefer.
I don't write many of these reviews and usually for a book written by R. A. Salvatore I generally don't have to worry about being disappointed, but this book was a piece of sh*t!
Like me say this first I'm a elf nut, so I love a series that features elves in a life and death mission to save themselves especially in a war setting. If you're a elf nut like me or even if you're not you will love this great series.
Have to say this was a good listen, the characters are interesting the story is good and is it worth the money or credit to get. I see their is some resemblance to the John Carter movie, but in my opinion this book is far more interesting and I hope people will give this book a chance they will be pleasantly surprised.
This is not really a review of this book, but I will say that if you have not read or listened this series it is worth the time and the money to get. This is more of a discussion, of names and trying hard to hold on to them. In the last part of Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi: Apocalypse, Tenel Ka's daughter makes herself known with pomp and celebration and the announcement of her name with her sir name being Solo. I believe the writer makes a mistake in this part of the story if Tenel Ka's daughter is the heir to the throne and there is lineage to ones royal line and name then it becomes improper for her sir name to be Solo. I know everyone going to say that the Solo name is like a precious jewel and it must be kept. However if we look at from the point view of reality, for example the house of Windsor in Great Britain, is the house of Windsor because of Queen Elizabeth and not her husband whose sir name is Mountbatten or was the same. At any rate the lineage name or heir is Windsor and not some other name. Let me close by saying this, even if people find what I'm saying silly it must be remembered that Tenel Ka comes from a matriarchal society so why would any woman from such place take a man's last name, even if his name is Solo.
