This is a very tedious book to read. No main characters or even character development. Everything the author started to develop a character they were killed off. There are a lot of blind alleys ... interesting things at the beginning of the book that I thought may be clues to the story but were never developed. Almost like this book is a bunch of bits & pieces of stories all loosely glued together.
John Lee's narration is great. The story is like getting onto a roller coaster. One of few books that I liked the ending.
Good premise, good characters and character development, lots of stories within stories, but the book ended abruptly. After investing all the time to listen to the book I felt absolutely cheated. I would recommend that Harry Turtledove finish the story and republish.
I could not get passed how terrible this story was read. I would recommend actually reading this book rather than try to listen to a monotone voice with Southern accent.
Pandora sets the stage for most absorbing science fiction story I've ever read.
I only wish Peter Hamilton could write faster. If you like science fiction, read all of Hamilton's books starting with Pandora's Star.
