If you want this book because you want a comedy book written a hilarious guy then this is not for you. The book is a great book. Jim is one of the best story tellers. Probably the best next to Artie Lange. The stories are, for the most part, feel good stories that I think anybody can relate to. They might not have you rolling around on the ground laughing but they're definitely worth hearing. Great book, Jim!
Ace is the man. His points of view are hilariously accurate. If you're an opinionated person that likes his pod cast then you'll love the book. MUST listen.
If you read Anthony's book, this is a good continuation of that. Some parts seemed a little long and drawn out but that's okay. I found it interesting for at least 90% of the time. It probably helps that he has a really good voice for reading. If you liked Kitchen Confidential, then you'll most likely enjoy this.
This book seemed like a forced attempt at humor. I went in with an open mind but I couldn't get past the forced feeling I got with the stories. It seemed as if she was just making things up for the sake of being funny, instead of slightly embellishing for the sake of humor, like any other comedian (I use this term loosely) would do. I admit that I am not a fan of Chelsea but I did go in with an open mind. I did the same thing with Kathy Griffin's latest book and I came out of it really liking her as a person and I hoped to do the same with Chelsea but I couldn't. I suggested avoiding this book like the plague and listening to any other book ever made.
Anthony's voice was perfect and it was very well read by him. I really enjoyed every story and he really helped me connect to every story. I don't know a thing about food and this book was awesome. Highly suggested.
A great read and a good book. I thought it dragged on a tiny bit at the end but it wasn't bad. I really learned a lot from this book and found it interesting for the vast majority of the time. A must listen.
I do not like baseball and most definitely do not like statistics but this book is amazing. It made me so interested in baseball that I cannot even put it into words. Billy Beane is really an amazing person and this book shows why. Never a dull moment.
