This is the Sequel to "Playing with Fire." Both are good listens and I really like the silliness and comedy of Showalter.
It is strange to me that Showalter can write such funny, light, and enjoyable books as these and also write the dull "Lords of the Underworld" series. If you want a laugh get this.
I love this book. It's sequel "Twice as Hot" is great too. I listened to both I really got into this author so I mistakenly bought the 4 books for 2 credits package on "Lords of the Underworld" by the same author. Be forewarned: These are nothing like what "Playing with Fire."
I couldn't even finish it. It was too bad to even waste my time with. I wish I hadn't wasted the 2 hours I DID put into it, not to mention the credits.
After Playing with Fire and Twice as Hot I expected way better out of Showalter. Not Funny at all, not sexy, just blah.
I typically love Kyra Davis' books. This one let me down. However, I did hear that it was based on her own life - that made it more tolerable.
