Andy Hamilton and Jay Tarses' script for Revolting People, about the American War of Independence, winningly mixes the "boom boom" school of jokes, literary silliness (jeopardy means "like a jeopard"), and anachronisms that make deft political points.

Estate Agents, mail-order lingerie, and the invention of central heating: this is medieval England seen from a 21st-century comedy perspective. With an all-star cast, Pozzitive bring you a roisteringly funny new sitcom from the pen of Kim Fuller, who's CV is as long as a really long arm, and includes Spitting Image, Red Dwarf, Badly Dubbed Porn, Rory Bremner, Lenny Henry, and Spiceworld: The Movie.

So good, I re-listen to it every so often just for a laugh.

Ellen DeGeneres published her first book of comic essays, the #1 best selling My Point...and I Do Have One, way back in 1996. Not one to rest on her laurels, the witty star of stage and screen has since dedicated her life to writing a hilarious new book. That book is this audiobook.

    "Just awful"
    Overall

Not funny. I generally like Ellen Degeneres and find her ad libs very funny, but this book is very dull and uninteresting. It started slow, but I kept listening thinking it had to pick up. However, I couldn't even make it through the third chapter. Just too boring.

Newly married to novelist Rosie M. Banks, Bingo bucks the current trend by being extremely happy, although he does tend to lose his shirt on various horses. This collection of wonderfully funny stories features a cast of outrageous characters.

Contains stories not included in other anthologies. A nice find for Wodehouse fans who have listened to his other works.

Through the ages, men of flair, faculty, and outstanding courage have contributed to their country's heritage. Others, like the snivelling worm Edmund, Duke of Edinburgh (alias "The Blackadder"), have emerged from the dust of dodgy documents to claim their wrongful place in history.

Obviously many visual jokes and important storyline information that does not come through with just the audio track of this TV show. Very frustrating, so stopped listening half way through. Makes me want to watch the TV show, though, because it is obviously quite funny if you can see what's happening.
