More fully developed characters, especially in Claire, would have made the book better.
The narrator was excellent with great intonation, appropriate emphasis and pronunciation.
Was unable to get past "the dinner in Paris" section. The writing, although descriptive, was too obvious, as were the characters. Cannot recommend this book to a friend!
Did not understand from the Audible summary that this book would involve fairies, and other make-believe characters. I have found the plot very hard to follow as it moves from character to character. I have TRIED to figure this book out, and have stuck with it in excess of 3 listening hours, but am giving up.
The spiritual world, which the novel revolves around, involves spirits which are 'shape-shifters', which I did not note in other reviews. I found it hard to keep my interest in the novel towards the end, as it shifted more from reality to the super-natural.
