Lady Rebecca Newland cannot forget the captivating nobleman who saved her life, and she sets out to meet him again when she is of an age to be courted. Unbeknownst to her, her timing is impeccable, for Devon Sinclair, the future Duke of Pembroke, has just been informed by his mad father that he must take a wife before Christmas in order to thwart a family curse and preserve his inheritance. Lady Rebecca is everything Devon could want in a wife - she is beautiful, charming, and she desires him openly.

First off Rosalyn Landor is AMAZING. She acts out the book...not just reads it....If the character is breathless...she reads it that way! SUPERB!

Rebecca and Devon are a great match. I didn't want this book to end but when it did...I immediately downloaded the second book in the series and started it the same night.

This book is definitely not for the listener who wants PG love scenes. These aren't over the top...but they are super steamy!

I highly recommend this book and am already enjoying the second book.

At this point in the series there is no point in a "review" I mean really.....you are going to listen....you have to...you have to have more Jaime & Claire....but in this book you really get invested in more characters. Drama, Suspense, Mystery, Love, Hate.......Laugh, Cry, longing....this book has it all.

Diana is a master of detail that brings a scene to life. She is detailed....but none of the detail is over done ... It's perfect. Davina Porter is as always A M A Z I N G

A blue-eyed innocent on the outside and a shark on the inside, dressmaker Sophy Noirot could sell sand to Bedouins. Selling Maison Noirot's beautiful designs to aristocratic ladies is a little harder, especially since a recent family scandal has made an enemy of one of society's fashion leaders. Turning scandal to the shop's advantage requires every iota of Sophy's skills, leaving her little patience for a big, reckless rake like the Earl of Longmore.

The attraction started taking root in the first book Silk is for Seduction. I really like Sophy in book one...but I Loved her in this one. I could not stand Longmore in book one...but he is adorable, sweet, and funny in this book. I especially enjoyed him talking to himself.

I loved the back and forth banter between Sophy and Longmore. Their's is a much lighter and sweet relationship than Marceline and Cleveland's which was smoldering and passionate. that's not to say there isn't passion....there is a lot....maybe more.

There aren't a lot of twists and turns in this plot.....it is not as complex as the first. It's an easier, lighter listen with more fun. I smiled, laughed and even teared up. It is well worth a credit...great series!

Loved this book. After Lord of Scoundrels I was eager to listen to more books by Chase. "Silk" didn't disappoint! I actually liked Marcelline's character and LOVED the witty dialogue between her and pretty much every character she encountered.

All the elements were there for a great HEA. I was frustrated, teared up, laughed out loud and felt sorrow. I can't wait to get into the next books in the series.

Kate Reading is the MASTER! I would listen to her read the phone book. She is OUTSTANDING as usual.

Worth a credit..... Chase is becoming one of my favorite authors quickly!

She'll find him a bride if it's the last thing she does. And it very well might be. Evangeline may be powerfully persuasive in her way, but convincing the notoriously wild Highland king Lachlan MacLeod to strengthen his alliances with a strategic marriage seems to be asking the impossible. Stubborn and proud, Lachlan seems determined to go against her will, even if it means endangering the people he's sworn to protect and the enchanted isle that has already seen so much discord. Yet the battle-scarred Highlander cannot ignore his sultry advisor for long.

The Gangs all here! I love when books in a series include previous characters and this book does that in spades! This is a wonderful book. I highly recommend the entire series.

Narration is way better in this book than in the first...i guess since there is no American accent in this book.

The end is a bit peculiar. While it is good...i felt like we were owed more. It was joyful, ominous, and unfinished all at the same time. I almost wonder if we may see a new book in the series later on.

Twice Claire has used an ancient stone circle to travel back to the 18th century. The first time she found love with a Scottish warrior but had to return to the 1940s to save their unborn child. The second time, 20 years later, she reunited with her lost love but had to leave behind the daughter that he would never see. Now Brianna, from her 1960s vantage point, has found a disturbing obituary and will risk everything in an attempt to change history.

It's strange to say but as I began drums of autumn I realized that I was missing one of the main characters that was always in the background. The setting of Scotland and France and all the foreign places I as an American love to hear about. But of course as soon as the story began to unfold, I realized that this early America (while I could visualize the landscapes a little more easily) was still a place that was exotic and unknown to me.

Gabaldon knows how to have you laughing one second and rip your heart from your chest in the next.

If you've had trouble liking Lord John Grey in the previous books you may find that you finally like him in this book.

Brianna and Roger have begun to be an integral part of the story and while I originally thought I would dislike this.....oh it is a wonderful thing now.

It's just wonderful. It has everything the other books have...the things that keep you glued to the story and tile things that make you laugh out loud, cry out loud, curse Diana Gabaldon and praise her.

It's not like you won't listen to this book. You have to. And if you consider listening or not listening based off of reviews when you are this far in the series....you probably aren't as invested in the series as the rest of us and need to move on!

I'm no prude....but I do like some sort of halfway plausible story to go with a lot of intense sex scenes. Well written sex scenes was all this story had going for it. Unbelievable story...like way off....and I hated the main male character. I wasn't a big fan of the narrator, but I can't say it was narration that ruined it. Too far fetched. I love Maya Banks' Highland Romance books, but this particular erotica wasn't for me.

this is the story of how "the wee demons" parents met and fell in love. Unfortunately I read Warrior of the Isles first..which is actually the second book in the trilogy...but Audible doesn't tell us it's a series so you find out at the end of the books.

So listen in order....Lord of the Isles, Warrior OTI, King OTI.

This is a great story. There are some twists and turns that keep you on your toes and moments that warm your heart and then heat your flesh!

Great characters all around. I met Rory and Alena in the second book (out of order) and loved their minor roles in it so I was happy to be able to have these characters come to life more fully.

Narration is very good.....as long as the character is a Scot.....otherwise, as in Alena's case...its terrible. Ms. Guthrie just doesn't do Alena well...not consistent but by the end Alena is actually starting to talk like a Highland Scot ...so it works out in the end.

All in all...this is a great easy enjoyable listen. Worth a credit for sure.

This was a different historical romance for me. The fantasy element was subtle but it made for a nice change. There were some great supporting characters. I laughed, held my breath, and teared up at times. I found out at the end it is part of a trilogy. This is the second book in the trio. Lord of the Isles, Warrior of the Isles, and King of the Isles.

I don't love the narrator, but I don't dislike her either. Just middle of the road. She does a pretty good job, but takes a few minutes to get used to.

It started a bit slow but by the second half I hated to have to pause it.

I enjoyed this book...not the best...but good and I look forward to listening to the other 2 books in the series.

Reviews are a tricky thing. In this book's case, the reviews kept me from listening for a long time. Well that was a mistake! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as I have many of Laura Landon's books.

To get some back story you should FIRST LISTEN to Intimate Deception! Having additional info on Hannah and some of the other characters made this book more complete. Characters are developed in Intimate Deception so although Intimate Surrender could be a standalone book.....it is a richer more enjoyable listen when read second.

This is a PG-13 listen. There is some violence in the beginning and then only one love scene. BUT the entire book is full of angst and blooming love.

I like Sarah Coomes as a narrator. She is one of those you either like or you don't. She is pretty dramatic, but I would rather that than no feeling at all.

This is another heart wrenching, exciting, touching, maddening, epic installment in the Outlander series.

Diana's ability to write conversations just as two people might have one in real life is outstanding...she just makes everything so real. Then Davina Porter's narration is second to none as she brings the characters to life before your mind's eye!

Some of the lines in this book made me just burst out laughing. Diana is a master of character interactions and dialogue.

We begin to see how the 20 years has changed both Jamie and Claire. We also see how the time hasn't changed some things.

We met a few new characters and some of the past characters are back as well. Of course there are new adventures and new troubles....but with Jamie and Claire it's always something.

If it weren't so long I would not have wanted to put it down. Instead I paced myself and savored every moment I listened.

I hear the Drums of Autumn. .....
