    Oh…My…

“Dublin Street” is a “can’t put down”, “must listen to again” novel by Samantha Young, and Braden Carmichael is perhaps the best leading man…ever!

This story is rich in emotion with great characters that you will love.
There is a strong sexual content found in these pages, but responsibly written within the context of the storyline.

Mark your calendars for May 7, 2013 when the Second installment of the Dublin series, “Down London Road” will be released on ebooks! I was so impressed with “Dublin Street” that I made a visit to Samantha Young’s website. There, I found out that Publisher’s Weekly announced that Samantha signed a book deal for the third book in the series as well.

    I cannot wait…

Credit Worthy??? You’d better believe it!

There I was, minding my own business at Peachtree Books when this lunatic comes racing in the door and knocks me into his arms. I would have ripped him a new one, but he was kinda familiar, and hot. Like I-want-to-have-your-beautiful-babies-now hot. Turns out he looks familiar because I stare at his gorgeous face on TV every week. Yup, Dalton Deangelo. In the oh-so-firm flesh. I let him hide out from the press for a while, then I thought he'd be on his way, and I could breathe normally again. But no.

There is not much to say about Stardust: Peaches Monroe, Volume 1, by Mimi Strong. While there were a few funny moments, the vast majority of it was somewhat sad and pitiful. This book is filled with a series of situations, rather than engaging the reader by having a plot. The ending was unexpected and abrupt.
Sorry...This gets a "no" from me.
    Not credit worthy.

In winter, Brianna Concannon's bed-and-breakfast is a cold and empty place. And that's fine with Brianna. She enjoys the peace and quiet, even when icy winds howl at her window. This year, though, she's expecting an unusual guest: mystery writer Grayson Thane, from America. And sometimes a fire can be born in ice.

If you have read any of my past book reviews, you will know that I don’t believe in spoiler alerts. And following that sentiment let me tell you that Book 1 is good. I mean it is Nora Roberts…right? However, for some reason, I didn’t love the narration. The Irish accent was, as far as this South Texas Girl would think…spot on. The problem for me, I believe was the way the narrator seemed to rush through the female dialogue, making it seem somehow, cut off and thus, her withholding expression. In some ways, it was difficult, in Book 1, for me to connect with the family, Concannon. Relatable characters are what will invest a reader into the story. Don’t you agree? In fact, I am not sure that I would have continued the trilogy, had I not already owned the next two books. What a treasure I found, though.
It was in Book 2, BORN IN ICE, and narrated by the same gentlemen I might add, that I really was able to fall in love with this family. Oh, and fall in love, I did. What an amazing surprise it was for me too; enough, that is, to want to share my experience with you. I am not sure if I adapted to the narrator’s tempo, or if he slowed his pace and dynamics, but I loved him too.
I only just completed Book 2, and between you and me, I didn’t want it to end…and so it doesn’t…on to book 3 I go!

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Georgia on My Mind: A Sexy Contemporary Romance, written by: Marie Force, and narrated by: Holly Fielding would have been more enjoyable had I read it to myself, or with another narrator.
Holly Fielding, the narrator, has a somewhat cute and girlie voice (sometimes becoming too "sing/song") that might be better used in young adult books whose characters are all female.
Unfortunately, she becomes monotone and bullish sounding when it comes to male voices, making it very difficult to enjoy.
I believe the story is sweet and solid enough to be enjoyable, but I had to leave it several times, due to the narrator's voice, in order to return to it later and finally finish.

Had I known what I know now, I would not have used a credit for this performance. Sorry.

Lilly Rayne Nightingale always felt like Fate was trying to wipe away her existence through a series of odd, near fatal incidences. Luckily, her best friend Will was always one step ahead of Fate preventing her from being at the wrong place at the wrong time. Will was her knight in shining armor until he broke her heart after their one and only kiss. On Lilly's first day of college, she meets Brand Cole. Intrigued by Brand, Lilly must decide whether or not she can give up her adolescent fantasy of being reunited with Will and allow Brand the opportunity to conqueror her heart.

Cursed: The Watchers Trilogy, Book 1 by SJ West, was very disappointing and not worth the credit or time. I know that this sounds harsh, but the similarities to Twilight are insulting. What I mean to say, is how did West not realize that the parallels were just too obvious.
I wanted to like it...but couldn't finish it.

Indy Savage is a former wild child (okay, maybe not so "former") and current used-bookstore owner. Lee Nightingale is a former bad boy and now runs a private investigation service. Toss together a quiet barista with a not-so-lawful side-business, a crazy Vietnam Vet, a pothead, a drag queen, family and friends who will not mind their own business, a few stun guns, and a bag of diamonds, and mix them all up with some shootings, a high-speed chase and car bombs exploding, then hang on for your first wild Rock Chick ride.

Rock Chicks, Book 1, by Kristen Ashley was a surprise to me. I'm not sure why because I have enjoyed several of Kristen's books. I will start by saying that I didn't love the cover...and that made me a bit skeptical, and even hesitant to begin. But when I did...to my delight, I discovered a light-hearted, lol, funny diversion from several of her other books.

A little reminiscent of "Stephanie Plum"...including a hilariously witty protagonist named Indie, missing diamonds, lots of clever antics; a motley collection of characters that I just loved, and, of course, hot Alpha's...I have already pre-ordered Book 2 which will be on audio June 10, 2014!

Enjoy this book! It is definitely Credit Worthy!

Kate Lamonica isn't Koti James' type. Too small. Too dark. And heaps too much work. So it's an easy bet that he can be her friend for six weeks without making a move on her, no matter what his mates would have said. Kate can't believe she's made the bet at all. New Zealand had seemed like the perfect escape from the stalker who'd threatened first her peace of mind and then her life. She certainly doesn't need any more trouble. Why on earth has she agreed to spend time with a Maori rugby player who's far too handsome and charming for his own good - and knows it?

Three weeks in New Zealand to sort out her life, figure out what she wants, seems just right. Oh, and to relax. She should definitely put that on the agenda.
