I couldn't get past the first couple of stories. It just wasn't fun. Strange, because all the other books I downloaded were very well narrated. Too bad.

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

I loved the story, and hope Reynolds will make this a series.
I wish Audible would have chosen a different narrator. This one was sooooo annoying. I barely got through listening to the whole book because of it.

This book is the proof that it doesn't matter what the subject is, what's important is the writing. If you have to choose one book to read this year, this should be it.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Perhaps it is only fitting that this book should get this narrator. bad all along. The book was slow and boring. the narration bombastic, very much not Dresden like.
I hope that on the next book, being human will bring the Harry I know and love. I also hope they will learn from this mistake and bring back James Marsters.

Clarke is fantastic, as always. And Eric Michael Summerer did a great job narrating - I had a really good time listening to it.
