  • The Red Circle: My Life in the Navy SEAL Sniper Corps and How I Trained America's Deadliest Marksmen

Brandon Webb's experiences in the world's most elite sniper corps are the stuff of legend. From his grueling years of training in Naval Special Operations to his combat tours in the Persian Gulf and Afghanistan, The Red Circle provides a rare and riveting look at the inner workings of the U.S. military through the eyes of a covert operations specialist. Yet it is Webb's distinguished second career as a lead instructor for the shadowy "sniper cell" that makes his story so compelling.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Take out the Authors repetitive speeches in between chapters. The reader of the book is doing a fine job with out you! This book is an "all about me and how much better I am than any body else" book. This guy acts as if there would be no great SEALs without him and all he's done. Besides he does not have a pleasant voice and or tone of voice. I might give it 3 or 4 stars without Brandon's reading parts.

Has The Red Circle: My Life in the Navy SEAL Sniper Corps and How I Trained America's Deadliest Marksmen turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I love to hear about how dedicated and devoted these Seals are. Just wouldn't recommend this book!

Would you be willing to try another one of Jon Bailey’s performances?

If the character Brandon wasn't involved sure.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    NOPE

    Any additional comments?

Buy American Sniper or Lone Survivor instead, you'll be money ahead.

Where does Crave rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

IN THIS GROUP OF BOOKS, ITS PROBABLY AT THE TOP. I LOVE THE SNYED HUMOR AND THE LITTLE HINTS OF BOTH OF THEM BEING JUST A LITTLE SHY TO EACH OTHER. THIS IS A BOOK I COULD LISTEN TO AGAIN, ITS JUST A GREAT BOOK. I LIKE THAT THE FRIENDS STAYED TOGETHER AS SUCH GOOD FREINDS.

Who was your favorite character and why?

THATS TOUGH, THE MALE ONLY BECAUSE HE IS TRYING TO RUN A VERY SUCCESFUL BUSINESS AND MAINTAING A WORKING/ INTIMATE RELATIONS WITH A WOMEN AND NOT JUST A WOMEN, HIS FRIENDS LITTLE SISTERL. A GREAT STORY THAT DOESNT JUST FOCUS ON HIS WEATLH, IT BRINGS JUST ENOUGH MIX IN TO MAKE IT INTERESTING.

Have you listened to any of Justine Eyre and Will Damron ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

NOPE THIS IS A FIRST, BUT DEFFINETLY WILL NOT BE THE LAST, VERY IMPRESSED.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES, I THINK IS FINISHED IT START TO FINISH ON A TWO DAY ROAD TRIP.

    Any additional comments?

IT WILL DEFFINETLY BRING BACK SOME SORT OF PERSONAL PAST HISTORY FOR YOU AND IT WILL MAKE YOU THINK , I WISH I COLD GO BACK IN TIME AND TRY THAT ONE TIME... WOULD BUY IT AGAIN.

New York book editor Maris Matherly-Reed knows a best seller when she sees one - even if it is just a tantalizing partial manuscript submitted by a writer identified only as P.M.E., with the return address of an obscure island off the Georgia coast. Maris is intrigued enough to search for him.

Would you consider the audio edition of Envy to be better than the print version?

I HAVE NEVER READ THE PRINTED VERSION, I ONLY DO AUDIO BOOKS. I TRAVEL APPROX. 5000- 6000 MILES A MONTH ON THE ROAD AND THIS MAKES THE TIME GO BY SO MUCH FASTER.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Envy?

AT THE END, I DONT WANT TO RUIN THE STORY BUT THE REVENGE PART AT THE END BRINGS OUT A LOT OF TWIST AND TURNS THAT YOU NEVER SAW COMING.

    Which scene was your favorite?

WHEN SHE FLIES TO THE AUTHORS HOME TOWN TO TRACK HIM DOWN. SHE ENTERS A BAR WHERE HES AT AND DOESNT TAKE ANY CRAP FROM ANYONE, STANDS HER GROUND AND EARNS THE RESPECT OF EVERYBODY IN THE ROOM. AND THE LAST SCENE, YOULL HAVE TO READ OR LISTEN TO NO WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

JUST HOW CROOKED THE HUSBAND IS AND WHAT CREED WILL DO TO A PERSON. I WOULD GO FURTHER INTO DEPTH ON HOW SHE DESTROYED HIS CAREER.

    Any additional comments?

GREAT BOOK, IVE BOUGHT SEVERAL FROM THIS AUTHOR AND HAVE YET TO BE DISSAPOINTED. I LIKE BOOKS THAT KEEP YOUR ATTENTION TO THE POINT THAT YOU WISH YOU HAD JUST A LITTLE FURTHER TO DRIVE SO YOU COULD FINISH IT.

Beautiful and self-confident businesswoman Rusty Carlson was hurt, terrified and alone with a man she feared. But one thing was certain – she would surely die without his help. Vietnam vet Cooper Landry had a deep-rooted grudge against beautiful women like Rusty. Experience had taught him they were takers. But he’d survived far worse dangers, and this time he’d be damned if he’d let her risk his chance for survival.

Angelia says: "Sensuality, believable characters, totally hot!."

What did you love best about Two Alone?

THE LOVE HATE RELATIONSHIP AND THE LITTLE JABS AT EACH OTHER. THE MALE CHARACTER IS GREAT. THEY DO A PRETTY GOOD JOB DESCRIBING THE FEMALE CHARACTER AS WELL.

What other book might you compare Two Alone to and why?

THE AUTHOR HAS A CERTAIN SYLE OF WRITTING, JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOUVE GOT THINGS FIGURED OUT, IT TAKES JUST A LITTLE CHANGE. I WOULD RECOMEND OTHER NOVELS BY THIS AUTHER.

What does Joyce Bean bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

ATTITUDE, I THINK YOU GET MORE OUT OF THE TONE OF VOICE USED AND THE SARCASIM FROM THE MALE CHARACTER. JUST LITTLE BELOW THE BELT COMMENTS HERE AND THERE BUT WITH JUST ENOUGH SEXUAL CONTENT TO BRING IT BACK.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I DIDNT CRY, BUT THERE WERE SEVERAL PARTS THAT MADE ME LAUGH.

    Any additional comments?

I WOULD RECOMEND THIS BOOK, THE NARATOR DID A GREAT JOB. THE VOICES WERE PERFECT. DIDNT GO INTO ANY ONE PART FOR TOO LONG, JUST KEPT THE STORY GOING SO YOU NEVER FEEL LIKE TURNING IT OFF.
