The straight-talking, best-selling author and Pitbull of Personal Development is back with a pithy and prescriptive guide to success. A five-time best-selling author and one of the country's leading business speakers, Larry has made a reputation for being the first to challenge the positive-attraction gurus and the law-of-attraction bozos with his commonsense approach to success. Larry doesn't sugar-coat, and he isn't afraid to make people uncomfortable, because he wants us to stop making excuses, and start getting results.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

If he had some type of advise or insight to answer any of the topics covered other than GROW A PAIR. Yes it's the title, but it's also half the book/audio book. So I'm going to grow a pair and demanding money back!

Has Grow a Pair turned you off from other books in this genre?

No. It did turn me off to this author though.

How could the performance have been better?

Get someone to read the book that doesn't sound like Larry the cable guy.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Other than beating the phrase "grow a pair" into my head. See now I sound like the book! Grow a pair, grow a pair, oh yeah, grow a pair. Did I mention grow a pair.

    Any additional comments?

You Think You might be interested in the book. Well my advice to you is just grow a pair, because that is the only advise he will tell you over and over and over........just incase you didn't get the hint ....GROW A PAIR!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The book was draged out far to long with space fillers. More stories about nothing than actual useful information.

What could The Great Courses have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

If they would have covered the subject and not rambled on with stories. The book would have been 15 minutes at the most if it was just about the influence subjects.

What didn’t you like about Professor Kenneth G. Brown’s performance?

No not at all. If I was driving while listening to this I would have driven off the road from falling asleep.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Definitely disappointment. Im going to call in and get a refund back on this one.

    Any additional comments?

It is ashame that this one was this bad!

What disappointed you about How to Influence People?

Reviews hyped it up more than it should be. I'm not half way through the recording and I can't help but think . This is why it is only $5.00 to buy. That's all it is worth.

Would you ever listen to anything by John Maxwell and Jim Dornan again?

Not if it's anything like this book.

What didn’t you like about Van Tracy’s performance?

    Who? Sleep zone!

What character would you cut from How to Influence People?

    The book.

    Any additional comments?

Sorry to buy so negative, but I wish someone would have influenced me to not buy this book.

To much macho crap spread really thick in between the very few important facts. Need more substance less locker room B.S.

    NO JUST THIS ONE

Would you be willing to try another one of John Romaniello and Adam Bornstein ’s performances?

In The 50th Law, hip hop and pop culture icon 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) joins forces with Robert Greene, best-selling author of The 48 Laws of Power, to write a "bible" for success in life and work based on a single principle: fear nothing. With intimate stories from 50 Cent's life on the streets and in the boardroom as he rose to fame after the release of his album Get Rich or Die Tryin', as well as examples of others who have overcome adversity through understanding and practicing the 50th Law.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Seemed like a knockoff version of the 48 laws of power. I really didn't care for the small stories he used to fill in the space of the laws. It was a street law mentality compared to his first version.

What was most disappointing about 50 Cent and Robert Greene ’s story?

Seemed to flaky not enough substance.

What didn’t you like about 50 Cent and Robert Greene ’s performance?

Thought I would gain more knowledge from this book. There was nothing to gain. Especially if you read the 48 laws of power.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment. It stole hours of my life that I will never get back!
