The king's sudden death leaves his son Manasseh as the new ruler. Overcome with sorrow, Manasseh is angry toward God and begins a reign of terror that shocks the kingdom. His own insecurity prompts the death of his closest advisors, dividing the faithful in two. Barely escaping the carnage, his best friend Joshua suffers the excruciating loss of his family and plans revenge.

Where does Faith of My Fathers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I enjoyed this series so. I know it was fiction but it provided so much information that helped to make the story come to life. The character development, the voice, intrigue, and Christian content from the standpoint of the Old Testament went a long way to make this series rewarding. I have told others about it and encouraged them to read. Such benefit! It is really high on my list of favorite books.

What other book might you compare Faith of My Fathers to and why?

I have not read any book that compared to this one for what the story provided in its relationship to scripture.

What about Suzanne Toren’s performance did you like?

If there was anything wrong I couldn't tell because I was wrapped from the beginning in the story.

If you could rename Faith of My Fathers, what would you call it?

    Would not rename.

    "Loved it!"

There are not many books like this one that have had such a profound impact upon my life. I had to purchase the kindle edition as well. This book was more than a story. I and a friend are planning a study in regards to the storms and Christ's response. Thanks to the author.

  • God’s Demon

    • UNABRIDGED (17 hrs and 2 mins)
    • By Wayne Barlowe
    • Narrated By Adam Verner
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

The powerful Lord Sargatanas, Brigadier-general in Beelzebub's host, is restless. For millennia Sargatanas has ruled dutifully over an Infernal metropolis, but he has never forgotten what he lost in the Fall. He is sickened by what he has done and what he has become. Now, with a small event - a confrontation with a damned soul - he makes a decision that will reverberate through every being in Hell.

Jason says: "An interesting spin on the classic epic fantasy"
What did you love best about God’s Demon?

I really wondered if I would enjoy God's Demon. I read the reviews and decided I would give it a try. It was the most complete writing for me on hell. I know it is fiction but it gave me a lot to think about. To think of being separated from God and to be surrounded with such darkness, is painful. The story was well written, required my absolute attention or I missed something and had to rewind. The battle to get back to heaven and once again feel the power of His presence and the beauty of God was sometimes painful but powerful. I plan to read again because I am sure I missed some things because the story was so intense.

What did you like best about this story?

What I liked best was the war that was waged in hell to escape hell for all the right reasons.

What about Adam Verner’s performance did you like?

The narration was great. I was able to follow. There was just the right tone and voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, the description of what was done to the souls and the cost of rebellion was deep.
