Richard Phillips delivers fun technology sci-fi with an alien twist...what more could you want? LGMs, computers and wormholes! Bon Appetit!!
I loved the Conan stories in High School. I thought...why not listen to them now? Why not...because REH so often was trying to score a quick buck on a magazine sale and therefore the stories are all the same and appear lame by todays standards. Save your dollars.
I should have known better. Hours of outlining the minute details of a revolution. Sorry, not interested. Bright spots are only that...spots. Love RH, did not like this book.
I had to force myself to finish this book. So predictable....and lets face it, disappointing. Peter Clines can offer much more. A quick buck appears to be his only motivation with this lackluster series. This is not original, or entertaining, but it is formulaic. I simply cannot identify with any of the 'Heroes'. Sorry...no cigar.
Read this book awhile ago and thought why not...Ill take a listen to it, too. I was not disappointed...a good author shines through. Narration is good, not great but doesnt get in the way.
This book is standard fare at best. Nowhere near as entertaining as Larry's other excellent books. Sorry, if you expect a little more than average you will need to look elsewhere.
Greg Bear can write better than this. Save your $...mediocre at best. Enough said.
Inventive ideas which were well fleshed out...I enjoyed the story, and although I can't give it 5 stars on a category, compared to the trash out there this is well worth it. Spend the $, you won't be disappointed.
This series was enjoyable....it is easy to identify with the main character...you can't help but like him. My one beef is that this series seemed to have so much potential...but never seemed to quite get over the hump from really good to excellent.
The author explores some cutting edge near future ideas, especially in the technology arena. Entertaining, and yet made you think.
