What disappointed you about Contamination Boxed Set?

Same Zombie story. It does start to hint at what is causing the epidemic. Chapter 18! Up to that point anyone could have written the book that watches or reads Zombie life after death books.

Has Contamination Boxed Set turned you off from other books in this genre?

No I really like Johnathan Maberry. There is action and suspense that keeps you wanting more. I started feeling like I was a walking dead listening to this book.

What didn’t you like about Troy Duran’s performance?

Very monotone. He does have some variation in his voice with the child and a dying person but all and all monotone. I will probably avoid this narrator.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    DISAPPOINTMENT

    Any additional comments?

Don't waste your time downloading this book. I would have found the Wall Street Journal more exciting and suspenseful.

In American Reset, the final chapter of the Economic Collapse Chronicles, the ultimate contest between liberty and tyranny reaches the apex. The Bair family and their neighbors learn the true value of community as they rely on each other to survive the war and the effects of the financial meltdown. Will the collapse bring an oppressive regime that enslaves the American people, or will the patriots prevail and guide the country back to a place of freedom, peace and prosperity?

Where does American Reset rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is in the top 20 % of 5 years of listening.

What was one of the most memorable moments of American Reset?

The greed of Americans in crisis. We see on the news how greed and unlawfulness occurs when there is a disruption of civil order.

Have you listened to any of Kevin Pierce’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

First listen to his narration. Listened to the entire series. He makes the book as an enjoyable listen. Great character voicing and emotions.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book made me angry because I can see our country turning on itself at a time of need. We see on the national news stealing from stores, rioting in the streets, gang violence, and the collapse of major cities in our country. Detroit, Cleveland, and now Ferguson.

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the how the author interpreted the creation of the constitution. There is a lot of Christian / Jewish biblical reference and scripture. It isn't politically correct to reference scripture. I have read a lot of reviews putting the series down because of the religious structure of this story. It concerns me that there are readers that were so turned off by the story on the basis of beliefs.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I am a huge fan of Jonathan Mayberry and the Joe ledger series. I made an assumption that this series would be the same quality of the Ledger series. Story didn't keep me captivated. Too many vulgarities. I am not offended my vulgarities if there it fits a situation that you can imagine using them. This series the hidden agenda appeared to be how many the writer can use in the story. I can not suggest this series should be read. A waste of time and money.

What could Jonathan Maberry have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Better plot development and less confusing on to characters.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Bad Moon Rising?

Clean up the language and make the mythical creature something that seemed possible. I know that the whole idea of Zombies, vampires, and werewolf's are a bit difficult to believe. But his other books the characters seemed logical,

Indiana Jones meets The Da Vinci Code in an old Egyptian synagogue - the amazing story of one of the most important discoveries in modern religious scholarship. In 1897, Rabbi Solomon Schechter of Cambridge University stepped into the attic of the Ben Ezra Synagogue in Cairo, Egypt, and there found the largest treasure trove of medieval and early manuscripts ever discovered.

What did you like best about Sacred Treasure - The Cairo Genizah? What did you like least?

    Best:
The beginning of the book and the narration were interesting. I am not Jewish, my wife is Jewish. I purchased the book for educational value.

    Least:
Hard to keep my attention. I will go back and forth listening to the book. Still not completed it will take a while.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

    Have not finished

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Average to above average. Presented like a class and that is why I purchased the book.

Did Sacred Treasure - The Cairo Genizah inspire you to do anything?

No. I thought that there would be something to reflect on or an Ah Ah moment. Didn't happen.

    Any additional comments?

Glad it was on audio. I doubt if I would have made it that far in a written book. No regrets on purchasing it.
