Yes, you've heard this story before (a bit exactly as before...) but this version works! It is very believable, logical and freaky....I downloaded the rest of the trilogy before I even finished - just in case the world ended and I lost the internet before I had a chance to head the end!
loved the character. ..jumped from book 1 to 2 in seconds to keep the momentum. ..but found myself bored with the gore after the umpteen killing. otherwise, good book!
I liked the main character. too many moments that had me rolling my eyes. ..but otherwise a fun, gory read
struggled to finish. I was hoping for something to happen to wake the story back up, but never really took off for me. Nice storyline, but. ...eh
struggled to understand what the point was. good start, but....lost me soon after. felt like it was meant for that teenage fan
They had me at the moving statues - I love that warpy-stuff. A bit of gore, if you're afraid of a little bit of dead children...or rather ...little bits
I'm a fan of the happy endings, but I don't like being deprived of having that "ah-ha" moment. Don't want to give it away, but I'm glad for the characters that made it, but scratched my head about the ones that didn't. Does that make sense??? Neither did some parts of this book.
Ok ending. . good premise. would've liked a bit more logic. .. within a fantasy? to much to ask. .
I'm a fan of the zombie genre, as long as it's almost believable. This does the dead justice. The main character is believable so much that you buy into the situation without hesitation. Read the series, waiting for more.
He's a NY Cab driver who happens to need to feed on you, but still expects a tip. It's the first audio book I've rewound often, just to re-hear that cynical line. Hysterical. As a native New Yorker, I think I've met these characters. I wish it were a series. Not an eat-your-nails horror story... But very entertaining.
I would've liked a bit more explanation of what happened, before the characters started down the super-power route.... I suppose that is why it's a whole series. Good storyline, just needs to make sense now.
