    Story

I really enjoyed the story. There was only one thing wrong. I wished I have read it instead of listening to it. Renee Raudman does an excellent job. But, it sounded too much like Kate and Curan to be anyone else. And since the storyline has to do with magic which is a huge part of Kate's life, I kept getting confused between the set of books. The voice Renee uses for Nevada, the main character, is the same voice she uses for Kate. And so as with Kate and Nevada, it is true for Mad and Curan. I would like to have distinction between the sets of characters since they are to different series. Just my two cents worth. I do love the new series and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

The story line is good. The recording sounds like it has been speeded up and the narrator is talking on 2x the normal speed. It is irritating and hard to listen to.

Newly undead shifter-turned-vampire Kita Nekai is coming to grips with the reality that her cat has not awakened since her change. The main character, Kita, is so frustrating I wonder why I bother listening to the book. If I was her vampire master, I would put either myself or her out of my misery. She is always making bad decisions. She never listens. Everything has to be her way. And she has not faith in others. With all that said, Nathaniel, her vampire master, is not much better. He never sits done and explains anything to her. Therefore, she is always breaking vampiric law. She comes close to getting both her and him killed. Of course, I don't understand why Nathaniel does not stand up for himself and her. I don't know if I will continue listening or not. At least, I am experiencing an emotion. I just keep hoping the story get better as the books more on and the character start to grow. Then, that brings me to the question. Will they grow??? I guess you will have to listen like I do to find out.

Turned into a vampire against her will, 28-year-old Merit found her way into the dark circle of Chicago's vampire underground, where she learned there was more to supernaturals than met the eye - and more supernaturals than the public ever imagined. And not all the secrets she learned were for sharing - among humans or inhumans. Now Merit is on the hunt, charging across the stark American Midwest, tailing a rogue supernatural intent on stealing an ancient artifact that could unleash catastrophic evil on the world. But Merit is also the prey.

I wish they had not changed narrator. It was very hard to distinguish which male was speaking or which female was speaking because there was not much difference between them. I do not feel that the characters had the true audio voice that they hade with Cynthia Holloway. I wish she was back.

The story itself followed the journey of Ethan and Merit. It was good. I did enjoy it and was very happy with the ending. I can hardly wait for their next big adventure and where their journey takes them.

Chloe Neill tells a very good story. I would have never guess what former Mayor Tate was. Please keep this series coming. I enjoy it so much. I didn't think I would when I picked up the very first one in the series. I thought it would be "fluff." But, I am hooked and glad to listened to it. Thank you for bringing this series to the world. It is good entertainment.

The only thing I wish would change is the narrator. Go back to Cynthia Holloway. She gave the characters their own audio voice.

I purchased the book as a "maybe I will listen when I have nothing else to listen to" book on special during one of those buy three for cheaper type deals. I like to listen to books as I drive and also sometimes as I work. I finally didn't have anything else to listen to and was despaired. The book caught my attention and I was hooked. It was funny, entertaining, action packed, and sad to some parts. It had everything in the story. The narrator Oliver Wyman lifted the words off the ground and the character became 3 dimensional giving them life. Author Larry Correia can tell as story. He described the details so creatively that it had you wanting more. I hated to come to the end of the book. I am just glad it is not the end of the story. I am looking forward to going with the team on the next adventure. Listening to the adventure and tell, I felt as if I was there, listening to Pitt tells everyone what happened. It was an awesome book. I really did enjoy it. Thank you Larry Correia for giving me an adventure with a Monster Team and Oliver Wyman, thank you for moving me closer into the world with your voice. Both of you are awesome story tellers.

The Master of Natchez, Mississippi has a nasty problem on his hands. Rogue vampires - those who follow the Naturaleza and believe that humans should be nothing more than prey to be hunted - are terrorizing his city. Luckily, he knows the perfect skinwalker to call in to take back the streets. But what he doesn’t tell Jane is that there’s something different about these vamps. Something that makes them harder to kill - even for a pro like Jane.

If you could sum up Blood Trade in three words, what would they be?

    Excellent, Intriguing, Humorous

What did you like best about this story?

The interaction between the characters, especially Soul and Jane; Rick and Bruiser; Jane and the Beast.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Molly's husband came clean with Jane. Also, when Rick finally had the talk with Jane.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Molly's husband came clean with Jane. Also Beast and Jane's feelings over kids.

    Any additional comments?

I love the series. It gets better with each books. Jane is a very strong character. She holds her own throughout the book. Her right hand man/partner/"brother" is also an excellent supporting character to her. He aids her in her focus and keeps her on track. I love the reader. She makes the series come to life. The audible series would not be the same with Khristine Hvam. Faith Hunter gives our characters their voice. Khristine Hvam makes them audible. I preordered this audible book because I love the series and wanted it as soon as it was available.. Thank you Faith Hunter for the series. Thank you Khristine Hvam for helping the characters come to an audible life. Faith Hunter your choice for the audible series was right on spot when you selected Khristine Hvam. Kiddos to you!!!
