I usually steer clear of young adult books, but I am glad I listened to this book. Great storyline, interesting characters which were insightfully written, and a world which develops as the the story unfolds. Was sad to see the book come to an end, and will definitely check out the next book of the series.

In The Witch with No Name, Kim Harrison brings back her wildly popular heroine for one final, epic battle. Rachel Morgan's come a long way from the klutzy runner fleeing a bad job. She's faced vampires and werewolves, banshees, witches, and soul-eating demons. She's crossed worlds, channeled gods, and accepted her place as a day-walking demon. She's lost friends and lovers and family, and an old enemy has become something much more.

Have followed Rachel's story since the first book, been through the good times and the bad times, through the laughter and the tears. Sorry to see the end of such a great series, but glad they are going out on the top.

This installment was not the best book in the series, felt that Ivy has been missing from the last few books of the series and she seems so needy in this one. Being the last book in the series, loose ends needed to be tied up and a conclusion had to be written, all in all, I felt that the book ended up in a place that I wanted Rachel to be.

If you are a fan of Urban Fantasy, or like a good, well written story full of action, humor, a little romance and mystery, you will love this series.

I would like to thank Kim Harrison and Marguerite Gavin for the many hours of enjoyment, hats off to both of you, would not have missed a second of it.

Wow, this series is definitely my favorite Urban Fantasy series. Well developed characters, a rich world of fantasy that has been cultivated over the series, and a strong female lead. This installment did not have as much interaction between the characters as in previous books which gave it a different feel than the other books, less of a warm, homey-environment feel, but the direction the story went, makes it all worth while.

If you are new to the series, to really appreciate the storyline, you should probably go back to the beginning and enjoy the books leading up to this one. The narrator, Renee Raudman, is one of the BEST!

This book is a little darker than your typical Urban Fantasy. The main characters are drug addicted criminals, make no excuses for it, and content with who they are. The world the author creates is well developed, the bogey man in the story is frankly, kinda scary!

I enjoyed the book, it kept my interest, and I will be checking out the next book in the series.

Nothing sucks the romance out of world travel like a boyfriend who may or may not have broken up with you in a hotel room in Brussels. Jane Jameson's sexy sire Gabriel has always been unpredictable, but the seductive, anonymous notes that await him at each stop of their international vacation, coupled with his evasive behavior over the past few months, finally push Jane onto the next flight home to Half Moon Hollow -- alone, upset, and unsure whether Gabriel just ended their relationship without actually telling her.

Haller is a Lincoln Lawyer, a criminal defense pro who operates out of the backseat of his Lincoln Town Car, to defend clients at the bottom of the legal food chain. It's no wonder that he is despised by cops, prosecutors, and even some of his own clients. But an investigator is murdered for getting too close to the truth and Haller quickly discovers that his search for innocence has taken him face to face with a kind of evil as pure as a flame.

I love Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch series. Definitely in my top 10 of all time. I avoided the Lincoln Lawyer series because I had never been a fan of the legal thriller. That was until I read this series.

Michael Connelly has given us another character that you can't help but love and root for at every turn. The novel moves along quickly and is not weighted down by legal procedures, etc. But it does open up the world of the trial lawyer from the defendants perspective and gives the reader a view of the inner workings of the justice system from that side.

Great plot, great characters, extremely well written. A great story all around. I recommend all the books in this series.

Her job description is the "tracking and apprehension of mentally-fractured killers". What this really means in FBI profiler Jace Valchek's brave new world - one in which only one percent of the population is human - is that a woman's work is never done. And real is getting stranger every day. Jace has been ripped from her reality by David Cassius, the vampire head of the NSA. He knows that she's the best there is in the business, and David needs her help in solving a series of gruesome murders of vampires and werewolves.

    Story

Can't even decide if I liked the book or not.

The story takes place in an alternate universe where the main character gets pulled out of her world to solve a series of crimes. I just kept asking myself throughout the book why would a universe run by centuries old vampires and other magic creatures, find it necessary to pull a young human FBI agent into their world, at great cost, to solve a series of crimes in a world they were totally unfamiliar with? Too many questions that are intricate to the plot are left unanswered or brushed aside.

The "bad guy" was one of the more interesting/likable characters in the book, but the crimes he commits are absolutely atrocious, so I had to keep reminding myself not to like him. The main character tries really hard to come off as a total bitch by being obnoxious to everyone around her, yet she just goes along with the fact that she has been kidnapped like its no big deal. Did not like her at all.

Haven't decided if I will go any further with this series. I think the author could redeem the series with better character development, toning down the torture murders, and explaining the world and the choices that were made a little better.

For the first time - in one Audible-exclusive collection - it's 13 stories of Jane Yellowrock, the shape-shifting skinwalker and vampire hunter for hire whose business card reads, "Have Stakes - Will Travel". Jane carries inside her the soul of her Beast, the mountain lion's soul which merged with hers when she accidently performed black magic as a child. Now, she and her Beast stalk the dark streets of New Orleans, bringing rogue vampires true death.

This book is comprised of Short Stories from the world of the Jane Yellowrock series. These stories are written from the perspective of the characters telling the story, which gives us insight into their characters that you just can't get from Jane's point of view.

There are 11 stories, which have been published previously in various places and 2 new novellas. Not being a fan of the Anthology books that are published with works of various authors, I had missed most of these stories.

I am SO glad that I purchased this book. The stories are fun, adventurous, exciting and leave you feeling that you know all the people in the series a little better, and have a better understanding of who they are, and why they act the way they do.
