London, a huge and bustling metropolis, does not reveal itself to the casual visitor. To discover its hidden wonders, you must investigate its streets and squares on foot. Now with Londonwalks Audio Guide, you can put on your earphones, keep your eyes on the historic buildings, colorful shops, and hidden courtyards, while you listen to the history, scandal, and architectural curiosity of one of the most magnificent cities of Europe.

Howie says: "Nice Walking Tour of London"
    "VERY DATED"
    Overall

As someone who lives and works in London I found it very dated in attitude and fact. Some areas around the City (where many buildings and pubs go back centuries) have visually changed a lot over the last 8 years with many modern visual landmark buildings.

For anyone coming to London with the time to spare in advance I would recommend the Peter Ackroyd's books on the history of London which although covering many centuries of history do give a good insight into the names and characters of many areas of central London today.

  • Comedy from Studio 7 Leicester Square: Show 3

Katie Bagshaw, Gary Coleman, and Matt Rudge all take to the stage of Studio 7 Leicester Square. Katie is perhaps Tyneside's funniest woman, while Gary Coleman is definitely funnier than any coalman you might meet. And as for Matt Rudge, what can we say about him? Erm, well, nothing really. Except he's funny.

From inside the walls of Enron, a lone whistleblower attempted to avert the course of events leading to the largest bankruptcy in American history. On August 16, 2001, Sherron Watkins wrote an anonymous letter to Enron's Chairman, Ken Lay, laying out problems with Enron's use of partnerships to hide debt. She warned of a possible scandal that could topple the company if investors and the news media learned of the operations. Then, she revealed her identity and confronted Lay directly.

    "A good version"
    Overall

A very good inside version. Very readable. Gets over the atomosphere and culture inside Enron aswell as the the accounting.

"In mid-July of 1879, John Muir sailed for the first time through the sheer-walled fjords of Alaska's Inside Passage. 'Never before this,' he wrote, 'had I been embosomed in scenery so hopelessly beyond description.' During the previous 15 years, Muir had vanished into the north woods of Canada, walked a thousand miles from Kentucky to the Gulf of Mexico, and nested himself in the granite heart of California's Sierra Nevada mountains. Wild nature burned with volcanic intensity in the core of John Muir's soul."

Monica says: "Book great, narration destroys"
    "Narration"
    Overall

I found the narrator difficult to follow. He speaks quickly and this has constant very detailed descriptions.Americans may not have a problem (I'm English).
