I have read all of the books in this series and have purchased all of the them now through Audible Books. Diana Gabaldon is a genius with the pen and Davina Porter has brought the characters to life with her readings, but now it has hit a teeth jarring bump with Geraldine James' narration. She reads so fast that this book is not a pleasure to listen to. I understand that this should come out soon with Davina narrating it and I will purchase it again, but this particular narration should be skipped.
I was disappointed with all of the grammatical errors. I don't know who is to blame; the author, the editor or the miserable narrator. It was hard to listen to the English language being misused.
The narrator was so poor that it was difficult to keep the characters straight. I will be careful with future books to exclude anything read by this man.
I consider myself an avid fan of Dexter, having never missed an episode on Showtime. Thought I might try one of the books. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the books have more humor than the shows. I also appreciated having the author read the story because only he can interpret the nuances correctly.
