Follows the lives to two dysfunctional siblings from a very dysfunctional family, as their lives fall apart, and then they put themselves back together. The story of the siblings is depressing (and it's hard to believe how stupid some of their actions are as their lives fall apart), and then the later section where their lives come back together seems somewhat trite and unbelievable.
I found this book and story very compelling, however the first section of the book (in which the young boy is tortured by other students at a private school) is hard to listen to because of the violence - as is the climax. So I gave it only 4 stars.
I wasn't very interested or amused in the long first section detailing her early life, or her parenting. I thought the reading was flat and uninteresting. The most enjoyable sections talked about her years with Saturday Night Live, and the Sarah Palin impersonation. Many jokes and sections that are probably more funny if you are a woman.
