The best stories pull readers in and keep them turning the pages, eager to discover more—to find the answer to the question: "And then what happened?" The true hallmark of great literature is great imagination, and as Neil Gaiman and Al Sarrantonio prove with this outstanding collection, when it comes to great fiction, all genres are equal.

The stories are good. The story by Neil Gaiman is ok. There is another story set in a world similar to American Gods (not by Gaiman) that is very good. I did not like the abrupt ending to most of the stories. I like stories with ending. Heck, I like stories with epilogues that wrap everything up into a nice neat package. If you like stories that leave you thinking about what happened next, you’ll love this collection.

I was expelled from the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep...."

It is a good story. I just assumed that it was a trilogy (day 1, 2 & 3) when I started it. The only way this is a trilogy is if the next book’s plotlines move three times the speed of this book. I’m stuck in enough fantasy series that are going nowhere quickly; I didn’t want to start another one.

A Harvard Business School student pays over $200 for a $20 bill. Washington, D.C., commuters ignore a free subway concert by a violin prodigy. A veteran airline pilot attempts to take off without control-tower clearance and collides with another plane on the runway. Why do we do the wildly irrational things we sometimes do?

I got this book during a sale. It has some fun facts in it that I would have liked the author to expand on. I would not have purchased for the list price, nor would I waste a credit on it.

I found this book lacking any type of intrigue or action. I am a big Star Wars fan, so this book does fill a gap in the story. The performance was good. I liked most of the sound effect and the music. Sometime the crowd noise was distracting.

Dubbed the American Tolkien by Time magazine, George R. R. Martin has earned international acclaim for his monumental cycle of epic fantasy. Now the number-one New York Times best-selling author delivers the fifth book in his spellbinding landmark series - as both familiar faces and surprising new forces vie for a foothold in a fragmented empire.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    Gearge Martin Fanboys

What could George R. R. Martin have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Moved the story forward. The characters just go around in circles

Would you be willing to try another one of Roy Dotrice’s performances?

Not if the book has a strong female lead. He butchered the female characters in this book

What started as a series of skirmishes has erupted into a full-blown crusade. Now that the Uraban leader, Soldan-Shah Omra, has captured the ruined city of Ishalem, his construction teams discover a priceless ancient map in an underground vault - a map that can guide brave explorers to the mysterious Key to Creation.

This has everything I look for in a book 2. The recap in the beginning of the book catches you back up. The characters mature and the story evolves. He leaves a lot of loose ends. I can’t wait to see how he ties them all together in the third book.

This is the second in a new series of definitive discourses exploring the diversity of human enterprise. As always, Ricky Gervais and Steve Merchant are joined by shaven simian, Karl Pilkington. In this episode, NATURAL HISTORY, we explore the awesome beauty inherent in the natural world. Drawing on observations by eminent biologists, from Thomas Huxley to Charles Darwin to Richard Dawkins, Ricky Steve and Karl offer their usual benighted summation.

Here's the first in a new series of in-depth discussions on a variety of subjects relating to humanity's greatest endeavors. Around the table, Ricky Gervais, Steve Merchant and the glabrous luminary Karl Pilkington. In this episode, MEDICINE, we explore the treatment of human ailments through history - from trepanation (or 'oles in the 'ed) in early tribal societies right through to the possible, if improbable, future of medical technology.
